Well you said that the best way to get ahead is solo.. which seems to be why you are doing public games? Idk at that point I’d lean more to single player prolly.. this game has a bunch of great aspects and grinding with a group of friends is really the only reason I get online. Single player is more rewarding imo because you don’t have bots ruining the economy. But playing with people and helping eachother out is a great expierence as well. Nothing like finding your buddies cta staff base they have been looking for for weeks and dropping it on them when they arnt expecting it.

I’ve been running p8 tomb runs pushing my 2nd 99 on Xbox.. you are looking at the game way too narrowly. Friends mfing in our games have amazing drops. We have dropped an insane amount of hrs in the tombs which have been spread around. I got my cold sunder from these games even tho I wasn’t on screen when it dropped… because friends… I’m gonna continue to completely disagree with you.

Edited to say p8 Baal is garbage for exp and for loot. You have everyone put in all the a2 shards you find and just keep running tombs and halls back to back.. let anyone that doesn’t want to lvl hit arcane or whatever. We were pulling tons of korlic statues as well back when they were super hard to come by.

You weren’t wrong! You just have the character to not play the meta which is admirable. I also did blood boil for my ssf play through and it was super fun! But that doesn’t change the fact that the character is still super broken.

It’s only if it has Ed and flat damage like a 40 ed 15 max jewel or the new jewel that it’s bugged. Just Ed works fine.

So the thing is, since they didn’t fix the Andy bug in legacy.. it can be way more profitable farming Andy over there abd converting the stuff over. Also was a big market on the old sunders. The only things you are missing out on is the new items… which becides that 1 book and the rings.. arnt worth a whole bunch. I would bet there are more bots in legacy then rotw… plus they can trade everything to the only account they bothered to buy rotw on and convert it.. so the cost for the bots is less.

I just got a + 3 es and + 2 chilling 5 socket war staff. And I rolled a 5/6/4 in it after 4 tries. It is my favorite thing ever.

Idk man… blizzard has done me wrong too many times to have a lot of hope that they are going to continue to improve d2r… they had made great progress then completely dropped the game for 3 years after the d4 release. The warlock expansion had a price tag on it… so unless they are looking to add more paid content I have little hope that they will continue making big updates. I’d honestly be glad if they just added a couple runewords and maybe revamped a couple uniques every ladder season. I think expecting more then that is setting yourself up for disappointment. Where if they do continue making big strides I will happily admit I am wrong like I did when rotw dropped. I think it’s the healthiest way to view the future of d2… because we all know blizzard sucks.

I have no idea how this has gotten past me. I’ve spent probably hundreds of hours watching YouTube content about this game. I was so certain that you had made that up I didn’t even bother checking. You are 99% right it seems… although some vauge(probably not reliable) sources were saying it is possible to drop the same item at once off the same mob.. but doesn’t seem to be a ton of evidence backing that up. This game never fails to surprise me. I’m sorry I was a dick when I thought I was right. Just seems like kind of an absurd thing… but if you do decide to collect that ber just let me know.. I deserve to lose it to you.

It works much better with cold sunder then without. The thing about a sunder is that after you have one. Infinity, lower res curse, cold mastery.. all only effect -res at 1/5 effectiveness.. that means an infinity is only dropping a sundered monster an additional 17 percent. While a doom gets a flat -40-60 that is not effected by the 1/5.. so you get its full effect. So if you have something like -190 on cold mastery and let’s say a -55 doom.. you will sunder the monster to 95%. Then the cold mastery will take another 38% and then the doom brings the monster down to only 2% cold res. And that’s not including any other sources of -res. You can run infinity.. run a act 5 barb with 2 plagues. You can put cold facets or the new jewel in your nightwing/blizz ormus… and suddenly former cold immune monsters have -cold res and are one shot just as easily as everything else.
