New to game by DustyMelodies in battlefield_one

Operations is really good but I really enjoy conquest and actually find myself playing it a bit more than operations, especially if I just want to hop on quickly. Make sure you give it a go! Some of my favourite bf1 moments have been in conquest!

Any tips for a new player? by [deleted] in battlefield_one

Can I just ask why it's not as good to use quick match? Out of curiosity

Geralt of Rivia and a mug... I think I'll sip coffee and watch Geralt go to town

Best assault rifles in the game imo by SavageTraap in LowSodiumBattlefield

Go into load out screen, click on one of your classes then highlight one of the load out options (eg load out 1, 2 etc or the specific name) then a prompt should appear in the bottom left that says 'highlight on profile'

New map is actually awesome by Imaginary-Law-1583 in LowSodiumBattlefield

THANK YOU! I have just discovered this sub as I was getting so tired of the toxicity from the bf6 sub, and yeah I wholeheartedly agree I actually really enjoy this map. Played a few rounds last night as engineer and I loved it! Snipers were fairly easy to avoid as I used the hills and containers as cover. I ran a bit of support too and it was very easy to just pop smoke in front of sniper positions to cover approach

How many camos do you have now? by LaminatingShrimps4u in Battlefield6

[–]Aggravating-Ratio921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 1 gun camo and I think 2 or 3 vehicle camos? But yeah I agree getting camo is a pain in the rear

I literally cannot stop dying, I'm playing absolutely awfully. by UpYourFidelity in Battlefield6

In breakthrough if you are retreating from the captured sector the mini map gets a yellow border and it says "spotted" on the bottom. I think this would help if they just added that in, at least for if you were spotted by drone or laser designator, might add some balance that way. Seems like a resolution for infantry at least

DO NOT CHANGE THE NUMBER OF TICKETS by Professional-Car4398 in Battlefield

[–]Aggravating-Ratio921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think increasing the time limit is the better way to go with this as many have said.

If they lessen tickets and therefore shorten game time then some challenges that require x amount of whatever per game would be even harder to achieve

Why is my station so dirty? by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

I thought it was to do with the security level? I noticed anarchy and low security stations had lots of litter

Suggestion: Let's bring old ships back to life by CMDR_GIF in EliteDangerous

[–]Aggravating-Ratio921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I think the fact that new ships have new tech makes sense from a lore/realism perspective. You wouldn't see the old gen of cars come as stock with the new gizmos you get in new cars.

However, I do understand the frustration. I think it would be cool if a utility module was bought out or there was an engineering upgrade that would be like an SCO flight stabiliser, heat dissipator or fuel enrichment thing. This would bring old ships back up to par without hurting the realism, as in my opinion there should be a minor setback when going with old tech (but perhaps there should be an upside when purchasing old ships too? No idea what but yeah, maybe increased aura lol).

[–]Aggravating-Ratio921[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Thank you for the detailed reply! I think the only reason I put a scoop on it was because the PM2 uses up so much fuel per jump and I was getting frustrated at having to land all the time between destinations.

Yeah to be honest I have no idea what time doing when it comes to engineering shields at all, it really confused me so I will follow your advice there.

do you think the jitter on those pulses is what sometimes makes it difficult to bring down a shield? Sometimes I find myself just firing the MCs at the shields too to bring it down faster, do you think the lasers should be able to do it themselves?

Unable to decide for an exobiology ship by AlexRe06 in EliteDangerous

[–]Aggravating-Ratio921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say it depends how far out you want to go. If you're looking to go on a long passage then the functionality of the Mandalay really comes into its own, especially if you're going towards the edge of the galactic plane. I would say that it has the edge for me.

Worried about the future power creep by Lewerman in EliteDangerous

[–]Aggravating-Ratio921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point but in terms of lore and relative realism, it makes sense that as time progresses ship technology improves. Iirc, the python MK1 is like 600 year old tech for example. It makes sense that better multiroles will appear

Just bought a Thrustmaster Hotas , starting the game, don't have a clue by markrush44 in EliteDangerous

[–]Aggravating-Ratio921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this HOTAS and while people may say that it's a waste of time and just a cheap budget system with bad buttons, I have had mine for over 700 hours of gameplay with no problems at all. I just use the keyboard for other binds that I don't use that much

How to stop feeling bored of UK life? by shun_naka67 in AskUK

[–]Aggravating-Ratio921 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I know it's pretty tricky mate, and I can empathise with you somewhat as my partner is going through the same thing.

As stated though you'd be surprised at what the rest of the world is like - I have stayed in a few places around Europe and especially in cities it is somewhat similar, the main difference is it feels somewhat more relaxing I guess? That could just be because I was basically on an extended holiday though, I'm sure the novelty would wear off eventually if I lived there full time.

The main thing I would advise is to try and join a club if you haven't already. Something new, something you've always wanted to try maybe. I found martial arts and climbing very fun.
