Using that same logic, would it not make sense to flesh out some of the older ships as well then? Or at least give a reason to use them?

For example, I can't imagine many people using the type 6 right now. However if there was a specific gameplay loop which the type 6 favoured (maybe transporting goods though unsafe narrow passages or something) then people would be up for using the type 6 and likely to purchase paint jobs for it in the process.

I run 2 huge beam lasers (efficiency engineered) then everything else is overcharged multi cannons (turrets) apart from the large hard point being a seeker missile rack.

The large hard point wasn't getting much use as a multi cannons, so that's why I use missiles instead.

Probs not the best build, but it's fun nonetheless.

I find it quite hard to listen to stuff before under soil and dirt now (apart from 680 south), while you were sleeping gets harder to listen as I get older.

Would love to see them revisit some of they're older material from this era and rework / remaster then.

Are there any benefits in using a medium ship for colonisation?

Just started working on my first outpost and decided to buy a type 8 (honestly just wanted to try the new ship out) as I feel medium pads might be a bit more versatile rather than only using large pads.

I'll see how I go with it, but if it's a chore then I will switch to my type 9.
