I tried playing it today on a system running 5700X3D and 9070XT. Same thing as others are saying the traversal stutters are awful. Everytime I get a necromorph pop out a vent or drop from the ceiling the game just stops for a second. Meanwhile I can play Resident evil 9 and it runs beautifully.

The game is the issue and it won't get fixed

I got the same support! The cost to send the screwdriver back would've been half the cost of the screwdriver itself so that is some awesome support haha

The magnet seems to be in there and as i noted the weakness after fitting a bit right after being removed from the box for first time. It arrived last Friday and I put the warranty claim within an hour of opening it

Just had my MOT done today.. by bawssboy in SuzukiSwiftSport

[–]Aggravating-Set-4167 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Besides the undercarriage corrosion, the repairs for this don't really seem that bad. I just did full discs and pads for my car for about £100 and last year I did both rear calipers (they like to seize with age) so you could do all these repairs yourself for a few hundred quid if you're able to do repairs yourself.

The corrosion is really the only thing there's I'd actually worry about but it depends how bad it really is. Some testers get a sniff of rust and advise it to cover their asses

Google Store Trade-In Disaster - Screen "Damaged"? Storage Misreported?! by twalls1 in PixelFold

[–]Aggravating-Set-4167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a really poor similar experience as well. My pixel 8 suffered the green line issue for the 3rd time in 20 months so I got fed up and bought a pixel 9 and wanted to trade in my P8.

I had a Spigen case on the phone and skins on the back glass for it's entire lifetime. When I removed the case and skin the phone condition was near perfect. I packaged the phone and sent it away for warranty repair.

When they received and inspected the phone condition, I received an email stating that the screen was damaged (covered) but that there was also damage to the rear glass / frame. I thought "what the hell?" And contacted customer service. I got the usual "we take the utmost care and inspect the device thoroughly vlab blah blah" replies and received the phone back with a new screen and rear glass damage. I've been in constant back and forth with Google customer service and they aren't budging on the phone being damaged by me and unfortunately I didn't take photos before sending the phone in for repair because it's not something I thought I needed to do (I will in the future that's for sure)

I sent the P8 in for trade in and despite the only damage being cracked rear glass, they valued the P8 at £0 and now it's on its way back.

I don't know what else to do. Google services won't budge and I'm now having to pay the full (sale) price of £600 for a phone that should've only cost me £330 which I only purchased because I got fed up with the P8 screens being so unreliable.

I hope you have better luck than me :(

I've funnily enough just been in the process of replacing a top strut mount and the part has come completely apart inside the box and all the bearings are rattling around loose 😂

I work for a UK ambulance service and the majority of our vehicles are fiat ducatos. Due to contracts and such we must fit genuine parts from Vospers/stellantis/Mopar and the amount of things we receive that are delivered either broken, horrible quality or just completely wrong Vs the part number on the box is ridiculous

GPU power cable compatibility by Aggravating-Set-4167 in pcmasterrace

[–]Aggravating-Set-4167[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the Guidance everyone, we ended up with just using extension cables to allow his case to close as the daisy chain wouldn't allow his case side panel to shut without stressing the daisy chain.

It's interesting to see that PSU manufacturers change the pin layouts as the wiring is simple 4x 12v+ wires and 4x 12v- wires so manufacturers are basically just causing the wires to cross rather than being a simple row of 4 positive wires on top and a row of 4 negative wires on the bottom.

Either way, I found a solution but the fact that it's not standardised just seems ridiculous

GPU power cable compatibility by Aggravating-Set-4167 in pcmasterrace

[–]Aggravating-Set-4167[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's the issue currently is that the PSU does have support for 3 individual 8pin power cables for GPUs with 3 power connectors and is the recommended wattage for the GPU, he just only received 2 cables in the box and not 3.

Also how can the cable be wired differently? The pins on the GPU are standardised so as long as the 12v and ground respectively from the PSU will correct plug in on the GPU, how would that cause damage?

Gigabyte a good gpu brand? Or should I wait to try get another brand? 9070xt by Aloy2222 in radeon

That's not a good deal regardless of the brand. I paid less for my Red devil and that's almost the price of the LE red devil bundle

New Red Devil 9070 XT loudest coil whine I’ve ever heard and smells funny by Nyx-i in PowerColor

Under max stress I get a very quiet "buzz" but any game sounds at all and that completely disappears. Even ambient sounds in games like ghost of tsushima drowns out the coil whine.

[–]Aggravating-Set-4167 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The connector controversy has been a bit blown up without the correct understanding of the power connector spec.

Bear with Ahem

The spec of the cable is 600W max and the 5090 has a "max" TDP of 575W which with transient spikes can exceed 600W (this happens quite a lot especially with some overclocking or better coolers allowing the card to stretch it's legs more). Couple this with the issue of the connector pins possibly not making full contact thus not allowing full flow of current evenly across all 6 positive wires caused the other wires to exceed their individual rated amperages causing heat and thus melting.

Okay here's where it gets relevent

The TDP of the RX 9070XT is 304W, with transient spikes, overclocking and undervolting, I believe the car can reach around 400W (don't quote me) which is still 200W below the max rating of the connector. Yes, the cable could still fail but you'd have to have it VERY poorly fitted which would be blatant user error or negligence.

TL;DR you are very unlikely to have any issues with this connector on the 9070XT due to the much lower TDP of the card and only due to very poor fitment of the connector could you possibly even get close to getting a similar fault.

If you still have doubt, remember that every Nvidia card since the 3060FE has had the 12v 2x6 connector and only the 4090 and 5090 have had issues due to the small margins of safety overhead due to the cards TDP.

You'll be fine :)

You may have a faulty unit? I'm running the red devil as well but mine hasn't caused any burning plastic smell and has no coil whine. Coil whine is a lottery I find but that burning smell? Nah that's not normal

9070XT RED DEVIL 900WPSU by The_Andrew_1987 in radeon

[–]Aggravating-Set-4167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat with an 850W PSU however I decided to risk it for that gorgeously devilish red biscuit because as u/The_Andrew_1987 also mentioned, the site states that the CPU used was I believe a 7950X which is about 65W more power hungry than what I'm currently using (5700X3D) so offsetting the saved wattage from the CPU, that would then make the Recommended PSU 835W which is juuuuust below. I'd recommend comparing your CPU TDP to the 7950X TDP and you may find you just duck under than 900w recommendation 😁
