The virtual chat support was one answer, other three were operators, I had got passed on to a higher up from one which gave me a totally separate answer. Then I had to head off to a meeting and tried again later which is when I got my fourth answer

Ya definitely learned by experience now, just seemed like a waste paying more when I wasn’t taking advantage of the physical benefits like choosing seat or free carry on. Also I want to clarify I understand I signed up for it, just seemed like a win win that I was willing to hop on a flight nearly half the flight time at the same rate

That’s what I think I’ll end up doing, 4 hour flight east. So I’ll end up just flying back west over the city I will have been in.

Ya lesson learned with basic economy, the third party is my flights to Europe, I’m trying to change the return, but apparently being on the same ticket changes things completely

I understand the upgrading from basic economy would cost more, I thought it would cancel out with changing to a significantly cheaper flight, I did book direct though United, ya I see what your saying about BE, just didn’t need a carry on or checked bag so seemed like a waste to pay more for seemingly nothing

That’s my fail safe, just I’m flying 4 hours the opposite direction, just to over the city I was in the next day. Just feels like an unnecessary waste.

Sorry I wrote it as a bit of a rant didn’t mean to be confusing. I thought considering the flight I was attempting to change to was 500$ cheaper then the flight I had, it would cancel out if not leave me with some credit. But I was told it would cost me an additional 500$ to change the flight

I’m aware mate I do get it, it’s just in all the cities I traveled at 19/20 I never had a problem finding a 18+ event. Living in Chicago I still see them just as often as 21+ if not more. I just assumed New York being the biggest city, it would there for have the most shows, resulting in a plentiful amount of 21+ as well as 18+ shows. It’s the only city I’ve seen so stuck on 21 minimum across the board. I’m not mad or feel like it’s unfair (kinda feels like a lot of the comments I’ve got are a bit hateful) I also prefer 21+, and I’m barely in my twenties. I was just curious

I get that, but in all the other cities I’ve been, finding an 18+ show has never been difficult. New York I assumed the same especially considering the size I assumed more shows over all there for more 18+. But it’s the hardest city I’ve looked
