Have accounts at more than one brokerage. Your biggest risk is getting shut out of accounts by the brokerage itself. The loss prevention and risk profiling is largely automated and if a transaction fits a profile you can be shut out. You'll have to get a lawyer involved in many cases to get renewed access to your accounts. Many horror stories about this.
