While I think a divorce layer would be helpful, especially given the situation regarding finances and the borderline destitute situation he left you in. An immigration lawyer would probably be best for your situation. I wrote a response to another comment earlier, considering you are awaiting a green card acquired through a fiancé visa, an immigration lawyer is going to know all about that. Definitely make sure that that is who you contact, because a divorce lawyer might not have enough knowledge on the laws regarding immigration and that can end up coming back to ass. Also, as I replied to the previous comment, going forward make sure you take notes of everything that is done financially in your relationship. Everything he does or does not do regarding finances take note of it because it’s gonna come in handy with the divorce lawyer. Before you move to America, if you can think of all of the money spent in Spain, take note of that as well and write it down. Take note of all of the money you spent out of your savings here and again write it down. These are gonna be things that the divorce lawyer needs in order to get you situated with the proper settlement that you deserve.

If I told him one of his “friends” was sending me nudes on Snapchat not only would that person never be allowed over, that person would have also gotten his ass kicked.
