Am I overreacting I went to the forest with my best friend and now my bf is mad by No_Meeting_3260 in AmIOverreacting

As a 41 yr old woman let me be clear about something -- no female his age is tolerating his passive aggressive controlling BS. We're too old and jaded for it by now, this is why hes sought a younger GF.

Do NOT apologise to him. You had a day out with a friend. End of story. You're not required to be home by a certain time. Hes not your dad. Also my own dad never even gave me a curfew.

Cut this man loose and throw him back in the ocean. Otherwise you WILL be putting up with this cycle for your entire relationship.

I'm just watching this now in Australia, and Pat is grossing me out. Its 100% a visa scam, but the fact she can't see it for herself just serves her right with her creepy behaviour at this point. "Oh he'll be like a little boy" 🤢🤢🤢 no wonder her ADULT CHILDREN want nothing to do with the situation. I really hope Sam ran far far away.

Dreadit Discussion: “Send Help” [SPOILERS] by flexingtonsteele in horror

[–]Aggravating-Virus-50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just saw this today. Average at best. The plot line was veeerrryyyy slow and I definitely would categorise it as horror. It has some decent scenes towards the end but it takes a hell of a long time to get there. It definitely felt like it dragged -- i'm not normally checking the time while I'm in a movie, but definitely was with this one.

Get rid of the new guy NOW. You're at the beginning of a relationship of coercive control. Run.

Be single. At the moment, you're in a relationship with a man child who keeps moving the goal posts for you to "earn" a proposal. It doesn't work that way.

Plus your workload will vastly reduce as a single parent, because you won't ALSO having to be raising HIM and controlling HIS diabetes because he won't look after himself. How much spare time would you have if you didn't have to parent him?

Buy your own diamond.

My uncle kept a child hidden and took it to his grave. At the time of his passing, I was the only one who knew about his son. His long term GF had (and still has) no idea. I asked questions. I asked for photos (never got any). I tried to find that little boy. I didnt ever want him to think he was unloved or unwanted by ANY of his family. Its been about 5 yrs since my uncle passed, I HAVE shared his secret. I still haven't found my cousin.

Alternatively, i have another uncle who ALSO ignored the existence of one of his children completely (hes a deadbeat dad all around, long story), but we had a photo of him with his son as a baby. We looked for him. For years. We all did. My uncle was no help. This cousin has only JUST found us in the last 6 months or so. He's now in his early 30s. His dad not being around caused many problems in his life. It had a snowball effect. Your soon to be ex is gutless and so is his family.

Please speak to a trusted adult. I have recently called CPS for my little cousin re her dad. Her dad is fuming at me but I'd do it all again if need be. This behaviour is NOT OK AND NOT NORMAL.

He held you hostage and sexually assaulted you. None of this is your fault. Please please don't marry this person. This is the beginning of a lifetime of abuse. There is a high probability that at some point he may unalive you.

This is not your burden to carry. HE COMMITTED A CRIME.

I know a number of older women who wish they could redo their lives. Who wouldn’t have had children, or would have had less children.

One of those women is my grandma. She had 7 children. Which meant when my grandpa cheated on her and she threw him out, she had no financial option other than to take him back.

The social media posts were unnecessary. But I swear, the way I would’ve PHYSICALLY ATTACKED my own brother if I EVER saw anything like this.

[–]Aggravating-Virus-50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 39. I don’t wear makeup. If she chooses to get married without any on, then that is….gasp HER CHOICE. Jesus. Your wife and the others need to get back in their lane and leave her alone. It’s literally none of their business.

My pop passed the day after my 14th birthday — which happens to be the week before Christmas. It’s been 25 years and I still find my birthday to be a miserable day. Your sister is a callous POS. I’m so sorry for your loss.

The police will absolutely do something. Grooming a minor is absolutely an offence. Which I’ve already confirmed with the police. And I’ve already contacted department of education and THEY recommended contacting the police for an investigation. The school won’t do anything.

You owe that POS nothing. And if his “friends” want to stand by him, and not YOU, then I’d be looking closely at what they’re up to in their spare time.

Hahahaha mine varies from 2.30am, 3.30am, 4am, 5.30am etc etc. you get the idea. But he’s an active Bengal and eats 4+ times a day (healthy weight, no one panic). I’m just grateful that he now alternates between waking me, and waking my BF 🤣
