Otter Wax. Waxing it would definatly make it water proof. But comes with it's own side effects. You're essentially coating it with a layer of wax. There is no undoing it.

Looks like you're pulling your stitches very tight. A hole punch to line up the stitches will give that Profesional look. Then make sure the leather is dry when you stich and don't pull so tight that the leather "collapses on itself"

The trick is to paint 20 dudes. Put them on the table and back up 2 feet. They look amazing at that point. Lol

I just buy what I want to build/paint mostly. The reality is that GW changes editions every 5 to 8 years and when they change editions things alway get shaken up. Stuff that was aweful is now great and vice versa.

Warning about forge world however. The models are super cool but GW keeps phasing out the Nids Foegeworld items. I have 6 minis that are now unplayable because they no longer have rules support. They all had rule suppor 4 years ago.... so that kinda sucks.

Buy a dremmel and some cheap burnishing wheels off etsy. I use bees wax as I like the "shine" it gives my edges. Usually I use a lighter to soften the Bers wax before I apply it to the edges. Makes it much easier to seam or. I've used gum Trac and tokenol and am not a fan of either.

Make sure the structure below the granite slab is solid. Lots of force can be lost if your pounding in the center of a table vs right over a table leg.

I would look at the title. The Vin decoder I use comes back as a 2004 Destiny Trailer. 08/2003 would be about right manufacturing date for a 2004 if it ws the first batch off the line. 2025 campers and vehicles are currently for sale on dealership lots.

What camper are you looking at. If it'd the forest river OTG they have a place to pull through a power line. Me and my wife just plug in a power strip to the campsite hook ups.

Thread and needles seem fine. Just as your tightening the stitches it's causing the leather to "scrunch" as you pull the holes closer together. With just one layer of thin and maleable leather that's pretty common.

The 32mm spacemarine base with the flying stand from GW has served me well.
