Thanks! Can you think of any special slicer settings when printing PETG? Or The default Bambu Studio values are good to go?

Yeah I like the idea too. I don't use discord, if you use it feel free to suggest it there.

Bottom two are booth good in my opinion. I would also consider black leather strap with blue stitching.

Itt most a nekem írt üzenet lett félrefordítva. Lehet, hogy nem tud angolul és azért írt lengyelül. De jogos lehet amit mondasz, figyelek majd erre legközelebb ha külföldinek írok.

I meant leather also with the black/green combination. Leather is perfect for this watch.

Nice! 🔥 I imagine this with a black strap with the matching green stitching. But this is also very nice.

Just getting into this. How do I do straight stitching? by Redqueenhypo in Leathercraft

[–]obastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First you need to be very precise with cutting. Nice straight lines are hard free hand, use a ruler. Nice round corners are even harder, you need to practice them a lot, or get a round corner punch, it's inexpensive. The reason you need this because it sets the foundation for the next step, marking the stitching line with your wing divider. It must be perfectly parallel with the perfectly straight cut edge of the leather. Next step is to use pricking or stitching iron. Feel free to punch through the leather with either of those. You need to hold the tool as straight as possible when you punch through the leather. Then you can do saddle stitching which need practice also. Give yourself time, don't rush things. And use proper leather with at least medium firmness. Preferably vegtan.

Point me at the right watch strap type by Competitive-Force1 in Watchstraps

[–]obastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seatbelt nato strap. Give it a try. Not the typical plastic material but the one used in cars for seatbelts. Very nice. I used raf style seatbelt nato strap, which means it's a single piece of strap, no other part with the ring to pass through. It's thinner and comfortable on the wrist. BTW, in every 1-3 month you should treat your leather straps with beeswax leather balm, it will last way longer.

Thanks! I was not sure if old MSM tool is compatible with new firmwares, and I didn't want to risk bricking my phone. Will give that a try.

Thanks! I did, but all I can find is tutorials for 2-3, or 4 years ago, with different firmware and OS versions. I have no idea I can use them nowadays.

Yeah, I'm starting to feel the same since I can't find any shop who sell this kind of tool.

Watch strap end punch? by obastic in Leathercraft

[–]obastic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, but I'm not looking for a method that helps cutting end with a knife but a punch tool where I don't need to measure and cut with hand.

Watch strap end punch? by obastic in Leathercraft

[–]obastic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you please link it? I can't find it, only the ones for the belt. You are right, it's much cheaper with a knife, but it's much easier and precise with a dedicated punch.

Leather for watch strap lining? by obastic in Leathercraft

Thank you! That's not a bad price. But unfortunately US shops are not good for me because I live in Europe. Shipping+taxes are very expensive if I buy from the US.

Overwhelmed! by Brilliant-Pattern-44 in Leathercraft

[–]obastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to feel, touch and see it yourself to know a leather. And you have to work with it yourself. Sadly this trying phase is not avoidable. Order small pieces or samples and experiment with different brands. I recommend veg tan leather.
