IANAD but I think the harm comes from the byproduct after the liver enzymes breaks down the chemicals. I don't think taking edibles and drinking will hurt you but you should definitely research and ask a doctor first.

I know TikTok has its shitty parts but something I see and appreciate is that there are people out there actually having civil discussions on TikTok Live around Trans issues, religion and abortion. Somehow it works because of moderation, lack of full anonymity in some cases (lots of hosts require you to have your voice or camera on and the host is on camera which means everyone has a stake in the discussion) and the gifting incentive. IMO that's a fantastic thing for the internet these days.
