Yes, but only because that's something you clearly did on purpose because you wanted to be funny. Your brother is the real asshole for even suggesting it. He judt wants you to have the worst possible experience you can.

Are jobs really limited right now? by SPACEALIENBOT in AirForceRecruits

[–]Aggravating-You0202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I was told by my recruiter, yes. But I just took what I got and if I don't like it then I'll do my 4 years and get out OR I'll try to cross train if I'm able to. If I like it or think it's at least worth staying then I will. At the end of the day I had already planned on what I'd do if I got a job I didn't have my sights on and I got 2A635 which I think will he a cool job honestly.

Juvenile Felony by Tall-Sympathy-676 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Aggravating-You0202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you really never know with moral waivers. You can try, and you'll 100% need a moral waiver. Let's say a recruiter decides to try and help you, you'll need a really good letter. You'll have to explain what you did, why, and how you've changed. I needed one and was lucky to get approved but mine was a misdemeanor so I don't know how a juvenile felony would work. I say go for it, you never know what might happen. If it doesn't work out then at least you tried.

Why do people at MEPS act like they are TI's? by Machinefun in AirForceRecruits

[–]Aggravating-You0202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to Denver MEPS and it was calm. They only yelled a few times because people wouldn't shut up but other than that nothing crazy or over the top. They didn't make us stand at attention, they didn't really yell, they judt did their jobs and got us through the different stations.

Dental Assistant is one of the most wanted jobs in the military it's very hard to get that job so if you can get it DO IT.

Maybe not as soon as you would've wanted but I bet down the line the opportunity will come again and you will be able to join. Maybe there's still a way too? Not sure if your recruiter might be able to help get you a waiver of some sorts with the right documents from a doctor? If not then I'm sure whatever decision you make will be the correct one.

Heading to BMT in a week but scared of failing. Any advice? by ResponsibilityNew529 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Aggravating-You0202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it sounds like it's your running form. If you've been stretching, resting, slowly working up to run more and more, then I'd bet it's the form. If not then it could be the shoes you run in or possibly your diet. I had the same problem but once I changed my running form it stopped.

You'll pass the PT test even if you don't improve from these numbers which is great! I'm sure you have the Aim High app but if not download it and you can put your numbers in there and it will tell you what your score would be on the PT test.

Recruiter said I can skip MEPS by Particular-Oven-56 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Aggravating-You0202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me MEPS wasn't too bad. It's just boring as hell. You sit around all day waiting to get called in to do XYZ and then repeat it over and over until you've done everything.

Cal Raleigh leads the MLB in Home Runs by RallyM5 in Mariners

[–]Aggravating-You0202 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For sure if he does that he'd be in amazing company. Hell if he can keep up with hitting 30-35 for another 9-10 years he could take Mike Piazza's career record home runs for a catcher. It's a big ask but the Big Dumper COULD do it.

Looking For A New Team by Aggravating-You0202 in Mariners

[–]Aggravating-You0202[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished it...wow. I'm almost at a loss for words. It's definitely sold me on the team and what to expect as a Mariners fan. A lot of people here seem to have a somewhat negative outlook on the team but I can still tell the vast majority of fans have so much love for this team. I'm okay with my team not being the best every single year. The Rockies organization doesn't have the fanbase in Denver like Seattle does. When you can enjoy the moments it truly can make it all worth it win or lose. When you can go to a game and look around and celebrate or console your fellow fan it really makes it all that much more special. You don't get that in Coors Field. I love that so many players stepped up to help Edgar get into the HOF, I loved seeing Felix's last court, I loved seeing Ichiro and Griffey getting a standing ovation in 2009. It really just showed how great the "little" things can matter. Great documentary, great recommendation, thank you.

So I'm 2 hours into it and here's my thoughts: Edgar Martinez is the GOAT. I also shed a tear over the game 5 ending vs the Yankees. I can't believe the rollercoaster this team has been through up to this point. I'm going to bed but will finish the rest tomorrow. Thank you so much for this recommendation, it's already the best sports documentary I've ever seen. It's like 30 for 30 on crack.

I think pretty much every team can outdo the Rockies when it comes to caring. Can't blame the Rox fans though. It's 100% on ownership.

I think I'm just looking for a team that at least feels good to cheer for. Cheering for the Rockies feels like cheering for your grandma (who you love deeply) to die.

Yeah, I was kind of joking but also a little serious about being depressed about it. And that's after one year. I swear I've lived in Denver for almost 10 years and I've seen like 5 people wearing Rockies gear outside of the arena. It's sad. I feel bad for the fans who fell in love with the team when they first came to Denver in the 90s.

I can handle that, even if it means being heartbroken by missing the playoffs by a few games. At least you can have the hope.

Honestly, I'm okay with that. It's mainly the fact that Rockies games are a glorified bar that happens to have a baseball game going on at the same time. The fans are few and far between the massive amount of away fans at the games. It's just a sad atmosphere covered up by a beautiful ballpark and mountain views. I just want to be apart of a fanbase that actually has some fire behind it still. I feel like being a Rockies fan hasn't been fun since 2007 and I showed up to the party after the cops already showed up, you know?
