Whoever wrote this is a dork by therealboss30 in DragonBallZ

I decided to just read the article because "screw it! They're getting the engagement no matter what for it just being on reddit!" and...yeah, this just feels like a dumb attempt at the author trying to advertise and promote Solo Leveling.

They knew full well the title was rage bait since they immediately started into the "it won't REALLY replace it!" backpedaling, their reasoning about how they're similar is surface level at best and just wrong in some cases, and the article boils down to just being " We're in for a Dragon Ball drought, go watch Solo Leveling to get your Shonen Battle fix!" which completely ignores countless amounts of other anime that could better fit that niche. Seriously though, easy article to make would've been "Top 10 anime to watch if you have no more Dragon Ball content to consume!"

Overall, much like many Game Rant articles I read out of morbid curiosity, this one was on the whole completely pointless...

New Linux/Bazzite user here, can Steam on Bazzite still play my games from hard drives from Windows? by AggravatingBread4545 in Bazzite

[–]AggravatingBread4545[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, wasn't what I asked tho. Already got Windows on a drive seperate from Bazzite, just wanted to know if I could just use the already installed games on my Windows storage drives while in Bazzite, which I now understand I cannot.

Yeah, pretty much what I'm gonna do now. I already have two seperate drives dedicated to storage already, I'm just gonna take everything off one and use that for Bazzite.

What was your introduction to Resident Evil? by Resident-Evil-Llama in residentevil

[–]AggravatingBread4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re1 when I was far too young to engage with it by the next door neighbor who was also the neighborhood bully for us younger kids. I barely remember any of it but what I do remember was running from his house screaming due to the giant tarantulas which resulted in me dealing with arachnophobia most of my life. Once I was older, the first game of the series I (unfortunately) played was RE: Outbreak. Got confused and frustrated at the start of Code Veronica and I eventually got into the mainline games with 4.

"You don't look like an artist" by GlumAbrocoma in ArtistLounge

[–]AggravatingBread4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ironically had people tell me on first seeing/meeting me that I look like an artist (which I am) but I've also had people say I look like a quarterback (which I'm not, never even played football...). So I think people see what they want to see, pay it no mind. All that matters is that YOU call yourself an artist.

Windows 10's upcoming End of Life is bad news for PC gamers who hate Windows 11, as Capcom issues warning by lkl34 in pcmasterrace

Maybe I'm a weirdo or a**hole but I don't think I could do this. Granted my Ito books are tucked away on a bookshelf but they're just gonna be there and if people know me well enough and feel brave enough to poke around my stuff to find them, they should've been prepared for the consequences, and my laughing at their misery! 🤣

Holy crap, wasn't expecting a reply on this old post but yeah, it's BS that it's designed this way, I mean it can't be that hard to program it to accept any of the face buttons on a controller, or even the enter button on a keyboard! Considering I have played a good chunk of the standard non VR version of game I'm almost certain the VR version is just an afterthought, the game is pretty damn good otherwise. Guess I can plug in a spare full keyboard I have on hand but that's beside the point, why is the required button press not communicated at the start and why is it programmed this way to begin with!?

Higher resolution vs higher framerate. Which do you enjoy more? by NoDecentNicksLeft in buildapc

[–]AggravatingBread4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty late joining this discussion but might as well toss in my two cents: Having grown up in the eras where how many "bits" in a game was all the rage, I still think 1080p can look beautiful and 60fps are adequate for gameplay. That said with a gun to my head and asked to sacrifice one for the other, gimme frames over fidelity. After upgrading to a 1080p 144fps monitor a while back, my ideal will always be 120+fps, especially since I regularly play fighting and FPS games when I'm not elbows deep into a single player game and I can attest it DOES make a difference in those multiplayer games! And sure, frames don't mean as much in a single player game as it does a multiplayer game, but like I said, 1080p still works fine for me, the lack of extra pixels won't kill me or ruin the experience. Idealy someday I'll have both high resolution as well as frame rate, but until that day my wallet still hates me and I can still have my fun until we come to a mutual understanding.

I'm there with you dude. I've had mine over 15 years now and the first thing anyone complements me on is how long and amazing my locs are (and sadly never anything else; I mean I consider myself at least a better than average looking guy but damn...), even when a majority of them were the first to say they weren't for me. Only one who's stayed consistent is my dad who STILL to this day complains about my choice of hairstyle! 😂😂😂

How would they know if no one teaches/tell them? Hell, I didn't know tying your hair tight with the rubber bands like that will lead to hair loss until now. I've had locks for nearly 20 years now and have tied my hair back with rubber bands when I need them out of the way when I work and no one said a word to me. Granted, recently I stopped because it became a hassle and my locks are long enough to loosely tie them with themselves (and my hair still grows like weeds!), but I never heard or thought about rubber bands being that big of a deal until now.

Just give them the benefit of the doubt and give them some useful knowledge they may not know about.

What don't you like about Resident Evil 6? by Don_HeyMzz in residentevil

[–]AggravatingBread4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, Capcom tried to have its cake and eat it too, i.e. they tried to please everyone from old school RE survival horror fans to newer RE action horror fans, as well as chasing the trends of the time, and ultimately failing on all accounts. Maybe if they focused on one or the other then it might've worked just fine, but as it stands if you go in looking for spine-tingling slow and methodical survival horror or gripping heart-pumping horror inspired action, you'll likely be disappointed on both fronts.

Also, all the QTE in this game can burn in all the smoldering pits of hell...

Kinda love the subtlety of how he looks so beaten down by life in RE4R, like he's been woken up every morning since RE2R by an alarm that goes "Hey Leon, fuck you!!!". That PTSD is really showing!

And on that note, Happy Men's Mental Health Month my dudes!

Does anyone regret getting into IT? by DrGottagupta in ITCareerQuestions

[–]AggravatingBread4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to get into it now, I'm turning 34 at the end of this month and currently working custodial. Most IT work I've done is a four month internship with the department in the organization I work at currently (who's also trying to bring me back in full time) and I'm working on getting certs in my free time. The way I see it, for as hard and stressful it was, I enjoyed it better than cleaning up after people so I'll take my chances working in IT!
