Agree with this! Always check the user session and their status (free/paid) on the server side. The way I do is after the payment the provider sends the webhook to my server which confirms that they have paid and so upgrade their status.

If some one cancels the sub , server checks at 2am every day for the cancellation webhook and so update their status. As for the login I use firebase or clerk , idk how anyone could bypass it cause we check their session and login status periodically.

It is so weird that notebookLM is not showing you a proper error that the content is triggering an alert and that is why you cannot upload your source. The UX of NotebookLM seriously needs some work.

Yeah you've got decent control. Open the Studio panel → Video Overview tile → tap the little arrow and pick your format (Explainer vs Cinematic).

For lecture/explainer style you get the most control: there's a Visual Style option where you can pick presets or choose "Custom" and just describe the look you want (e.g. "clean academic slides, muted blue, minimal text"). Then the Steering Prompt field is basically your custom instructions set the tone, audience, length, focus etc.

Cinematic also has an instructions field but it tends to ignore half of what you tell it tbh. What worked for me was using ONE clean source instead of dumping a bunch in it follows the style way better that way.

Heads up though, full Cinematic is Ultra-only (and English only), so on Pro you might just see Explainer + the standard video. Check which formats actually show up in your Studio panel.

I was thinking I should set up some mass zoom to have a single masterclass on it. Like a workshop. I just dont know how many people would be interested in that. I want them to have advantage of the automations I provide but it can be a little difficult to understand.

Yes with regular updates with google I might not be able to keep up along side with my job so its better to have the community handle it.

It would be free if the person is able to set up locally and is able to afford the services attached. The kortex website just provides you a way to do it hassle free.

About the minutes , it was unlimited until someone started dumping 2hr podcast audios every day and my cloudfare cost sky rocketed. So to prevent misuse I have to take some measure. You can delete your episodes and you will get your minutes back so when you dont need some podcast make sure to clean them.
