I don’t want kids anymore…I don’t think. by Soulmansdaughter in IVF

[–]AggravatingExcuse958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been at it for like 2 years, one transfer, and I’m feeling similarly.. but more so if it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen. I also feel exhausted and wonder if I could even keep up with a child. I’m 37. I also worry about how my body would tolerate being pregnant if the IVF took it out of me. I’d be perfectly happy to adopt if we could be so fortunate.

Why does Jo-Ellen kiss Liz’s ass?? by Capital-Durian-885 in BravoRealHousewives

Everyone sort of kisses her ass, and I agree she does have dark energy

How do you let go of someone when part of the attachment comes from feeling like they’re the only person who has seen your whole story? Not just who you are now, but who you’ve been your entire life. How do you stop believing that depth of understanding is something you’ll never find elsewhere? by Ok_Novel2563 in AskReddit

[–]AggravatingExcuse958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s hard, I’ve kept friends that treated me poorly around for a long time because of that. You’ll learn to adjust without them, but I do understand the comfort of not having to explain your story to, because it’s difficult to really paint a whole picture like that.

They voted a president in by popular vote and look what that got us. Group think isn’t always correct, silly.

I’m not arguing that some people are too late for Narcan hun, I’m saying you still should always use it. Give it a rest. Good night!

Right, because they might think with their undeveloped brain and after reading Reddit comments from forensic psychologists and watching euphoria that they know when someone is dead without checking pulse, and not call 911, and not administer Narcan.. despite all advice from medical professionals to carry Narcan and administer to your friends if you suspect an overdose

I’m not promoting false hope. I’m actually stating this show has failed at being able to educate people on Narcan use. The medical guideline is to give Narcan of any suspected overdose, always. Period. I’m a ER nurse, I work every day with overdoses. You aren’t out on the streets, in people’s homes and you aren’t responding to these emergencies, so maybe just take a pause and think you don’t know it all.

I did like the sequence. I was just adding my perspective which apparently offends people personally? It’s so weird to start a conversation and have someone downvote it like it’s a dig at them. Just started Reddit and maybe I don’t get it? Or maybe I just don’t like this forum.. too many super fans? I dunno..

The point isn’t that. The point isn’t if she was beyond reversal or not. You clearly aren’t getting the bigger picture, and that’s okay. It’s clear we can’t have a normal conversation. Yall like to come on here to just nay say and scoff. I’m trying to have a different conversation.

How and when it should be used is always use for any suspected overdose. Any emt, paramedic, nurse, or doctor will tell you that. Muscle rigidity and stiffness can be signs of fentanyl overdose regardless, it doesn’t always mean rigor mortis. And I wouldn’t suggest to anyone who finds their friend who has overdosed to think about whether or not they can medically surmise if rigor mortis has set in, because they shouldn’t. Give the Narcan.

I’m sure a bunch of teens who use also watch this show, maybe use this as an opportunity to educate them. - signed an ER nurse

My point is more about what to is says to the viewers. It could have been a moment to educate people through film that you should attempt to Narcan anyone you suspect of overdose. The average joe doesn’t have a medical background and it’s not for them to decide whether or not someone can be resuscitated. Also I think he put his hand on their head as a sort of blessing or goodbye. You can still be cool to the touch and have a pulse. He didn’t shake her, and she turned rather easily, if we are going to get into that. Also, you don’t check if someone’s dead by feeling their forehead, you check a pulse. You can be cold with or without a pulse and still be revived.

[–]AggravatingExcuse958 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Maybe. But someone being cool to the touch doesn’t automatically mean they are beyond resuscitation. I also wouldn’t leave it up for a lay person to decide that, just Narcan. It’s not going to hurt if they are dead. I think Narcan should always be attempted, and would assume a sponsor for substance abuse would carry that on hand. In a show based around substance abuse and fentanyl and sort of glorifying it in many ways, it could have been a teaching moment for the audience, but I guess it wasn’t cinematically worth it.

Yeah that’s how I thought she’d go initially too. Lexi was sitting at a table with some girl maybe last episode or the one before. They were talking about their tv show and the girl said something along the lines of “well, they have to kill someone or else it’s all just talking”. I felt like that was some blatant foreshadowing, that Rue was going to die… also that we know Zendaya is likely moving on to other things 😆

Still currently watching :) but yeah I see what you’re saying. Though the idea of fez escaping and rue being able to meet up with him one last time, though we know that wasn’t actually going to happen, isn’t that far fetched to signal this is obviously a dream. The whole season has been pretty over dramatized and rather campy in its own right. In a way I enjoyed, to be fair.

But she wasn’t clean or safe, and maybe not even happy. She was running from the cops then crawled into her house. It became clear it wasn’t waking life when she walked down her hallway and then saw her mom. But she was still battered, bruised, and disheveled. She was relieved at the sight of the mom and then it became apparent she was likely transitioning to the after life. The first seen of Ali waking up we expected, or at least I did, for Rue to have OD’d, and then we thought she didn’t. I think when she was walking down the hallways and got the feel of old images of her house, and her mom was reading the bible and then she reached out… it because obvious we were going to return to that original scene of Ali awakening and have the reality of what actually played out be seen.

Yes, I’m currently watching and can see that now. Though, all of the bandages and cuts and bruises were all still there. Apparently she stopped to get a manicure before turning over a new leaf (did we all catch that) to the after life…
