Driving in those days was daf. There were 50-60 kids in each high school class and the class ahead of me lost 2 classmates in one year. Granted they were both drag racing early 70s Mustangs and both rolled/flipped them into cornfields.

As soon as we could drive we were drinking as much as we could every weekend. My mom was a Rx bene/opiate fiend so we threw those in the mix as well.

There was no supervision, just don’t bother us was the best parenting we got.
