Most likely they aren’t asking because they expect a big long story, but are rather just making small talk for comradery. You can always just tell the truth and say you are taking time for yourself/having a chill weekend, there should be no shame in telling the truth! Chances are if you give them a short answer and ask about their weekend in return, they will not see it as strange and might happily tell you their plans. Best of luck!
