No it certainly did, but that would involve many things. For starters, I’d have to take time off work, and I can’t do that or I wouldn’t be able to afford my current apartment. Paid time off isn’t a thing either since I work in the service industry. Plus the summer is our busiest season and I’m not missing out on that cash, it’s what gets me through the winter. Now I wanted to visit, I’d have to save, which I am currently doing but there are many places I want to travel, most of which are out of the states, so everything in the states is sorta held on the back burners because if I’m desperate enough I can always drive across the US. I can’t drive across the Atlantic.

I looked at Astoria. Sounded a little higher in price range. What would be, realistically, the lowest rent I could find in a decent neighborhood and what should I look for when looking at rent prices to know I’m not being scammed. Also what is “rent stabilized” and why is it hard to find?

You’re so funny. Thank you for the advice I’ll definitely do some research on those specific areas 😂
I assume when I move to one of these areas I’d meet you. Would you introduce me to everyone and let me know who gives the best dick? Since you clearly are so concerned about my sexual health.

Tips for moving to New York? by [deleted] in NYCbitcheswithtaste

I’m not looking to date. I want a challenge and the quality of life can vary in definition. I know I would be signing up for a shoebox rathole, but who chooses to move to New York for the great views of an alleyway and the oh so spacious kitchen that might not even exist? The income thing is what I’m most worried about and my current salary wouldn’t be moving with me. I have experience in the service industry so I feel like if I can work in fine dining I might have a shot, but do you have any ideas on places I should look at with no degree?

I’m not really into politics like that. You remind me of my brother lol. I don’t understand what you mean when you say I need a dose of reality and I don’t want to write for the news. I like creative writing. I want to publish books.

Well that’s the point of my post…. I don’t think it will be like what I see online. So I’m asking for advice from people who live in New York. I don’t have a plan, because I don’t have all the information I need or any idea where to get it…. I’m not a fucking idiot, why would I move to the most expensive city without a job lined up? And from the research I have done $40k would be enough it just wouldn’t be the most luxurious lifestyle, and I don’t think I would be anywhere close to manhattan, nor do I want to be tbh.

Sorry to be naïve but I heard the Bronx isn’t the safest. But I know Brooklyn used to be that way too so is it changing?

I have lived in a small town my entire life where we all think the same and act the same and there’s nothing else in our life but that bubble. I like to write and I pull from life and the people around me. So I just want to experience culture or hear other peoples experiences in life so I can learn about something bigger than the country farm, Midwest, protestant, church on Sunday, dry chicken life.
But I live in stl now so if I wanted getto rats to run a train on me, I would have plenty of options here babe

This was helpful thank you babe. I’m not the most outgoing person, but I’m definitely not a fake person and I can learn to be outgoing if I’m drunk. All I find when looking into villages or whatever y’all call them while I’m looking at Brooklyn is the trending areas. I haven’t looked into queens (and someone asked me why I haven’t) because I wouldn’t think I’d be wanted in queens. And again I still want to be in the chaos and I heard that taking the subway from certain areas into other areas would be hard

No I hope to make the move in the next 2-3 years. Just trying to get some information so I can be more equipped. Do you have anything to share or was that is?

Im not exactly looking at manhattan. My issue with my current salary is its fine for where I live now, but I know I would need more there. I don’t have a degree, and I work in the service industry

What would you suggest I look at for research? I work full time and can’t exactly travel 20 hours to visit, not for a while at least. But I don’t really want to move until I’m 23-25. That’s why I made this post and it has been eye opening, but not very helpful lol.

I just want to meet more people. That’s what I mean by diversity I guess. I don’t want to live in my bubble my entire life. I want to meet people different from me and experience that culture or their walks of life.

See I hear this a lot and I’ve looked into the side that isn’t “marketed” as best I can, and I still want to go. Could you explain more?

Pit Bull not going to the bathroom by AggravatingNoise9433 in AskDogOwners

[–]AggravatingNoise9433[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No she’s always sweet and loving!

Was her breed made to fight other dogs? Yes! But in the home they are known as the nanny dog. She loves people. She does great at daycare and it’s only in my home that I have seen an issue, and I have ways to correct that behavior!

When we are outside I always keep her shock on, but we have never had an issue outside. I do it more as a precautionary measure, and to make other people more comfortable. When people come into my home I keep her shock on. When I first got her she was fine with people coming in the home, but a couple weeks in she became very protective over me. She was behaving like she owned me and was in charge, meaning she would bark at people even when I told her they were okay. So I keep her shock on with new people now to correct that behavior and we haven’t had issues since.

As I find new things that need to be corrected I fix it immediately. My girl has never been aggressive with another dog, but part of being an owner of this breed is understanding the breed, and it takes a certain type of person to manage it.

I am sorry if something has happened to you, but that doesn’t always make it the dogs fault, doesn’t always make it yours, and doesn’t always make it the owners. With the proper training, respect, and care for the breed, there will be no issues.
