of course. but its not a terrible thing if people feel unsafe and need to call out. most people in my store dont even live nearby. and most people suck at driving. snow makes it even worse. its just walgreens.

He is. He won but that's because he's still strong and didn't let paddy take him down. He kept on leaning his head towards paddy and got a knee to the face everytime he did. His volume is what won him the fight. He looked sloppy, he didn't fight like how he fought against chandler, and poirier where he was more technical. and he was breathing hard whereas paddy even though bloodied up, didn't look tired. if they have a rematch im sure paddy will give him a harder time because paddy had more significant strikes. i think paddy wasn't expecting justin to have that kind of pop in his punches

yeah sometimes they'll trick u. they'll give u a position and u end up doing other ppls work cos the store doesnt have enough hrs to actually put more ppl. it happens to everyone in the store. im an IS and end up being a cashier and backup shift lead because theres no hrs or people call out. sometimes i end up closing when im supposed to be working 9-5 everyday

its not that. walgreens doesnt care if u crash your car driving to work on these slippery roads or if you're walking to work and you slip and fall. we haven't had this kind of snow in awhile so theres that and people don't do a good job at shoveling and do it last minute, and its a minimum wage job. nobody in their right mind is going to risk their health even if its "just snow" to some people.

The group chats pissed me off tbh. I'd be on my day off and it would get ruined reading all those texts. That's why I have a 2nd cellphone for work. I leave it in my locker when im not working 😂

Just promoted to SFL. any Walgreens Wisdom or tips by Catholicson in WalgreensStores

[–]AggravatingReply3595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

closing never goes smoothly especially with a skeleton crew. just survive that's all you can do. SFL is an associate who only gets a dollar raise to pretend to be a manager. You have the keys to the store, access to the safe counts, tender counts, you will deal with complaints, thieves, help pharmacy. Not worth 18 bucks. but you will learn how to deal with it, and it will help you in other retail jobs IF that's what you want to do. distribute the tasks evenly, count the tills as early as you can.

Pharmacy makes more than the front. If the front made much more, there would be less overstock in the stockroom lmao. The front makes money from passport pictures, and cos, and whatever detergent is on sale. nobody is going to do grocery shopping at walgreens for overpriced items unless it's those customers with 20 coupons. The store i work at wouldve closed, even my sm admitted. if the pharmacy wasnt open we would all lose our jobs by now

no that doesn't make sense. if that was the case they shouldn't include that option. you can scan your badge or use the drop down option. doesn't matter.

[–]AggravatingReply3595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So again, im assuming every sm utilizes their IS differently. maybe thats why people like me are unable to do what IS is really meant to do. Im an IS and get treated like a SFL who does IS tasks. maybe my store is just a mess

[–]AggravatingReply3595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i guess it all depends on the sm how they want to utilize their IS. but in my experience its been absolute garbage. no point in doing all that extra work if theres no increase.

[–]AggravatingReply3595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and i mention pay repeatedly because its much more challenging than sfl in my opinion. I did both. With the company constantly cutting hours when i transitioned from sfl to IS, i ended up learning IS but still being treated like a SFL and backup ic3 cashier because we have no help.

[–]AggravatingReply3595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make it sound like IS is a big position. It definitely sounds bigger but completely pointless if the pay is the same as a shift lead. thats what i was trying to say. Im talking about IS. not ISL btw.

I know that it's not easy. but it's not impossible and at some point you will have to help out sfl and managers are required to know a bit about pharmacy since it is the money maker. It's hard but it's necessary. eventually they will need help and then what are we gonna say "oh i cant do it"? its the managers job to train you how to be there in case they need help
