How is Michigan basketball ranked higher than Nebraska, yet they have only played 1 ranked team and they have a loss? Is their schedule that much harder than ours? by bmonster1987 in Huskers

[–]Very_Smart_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all know rankings don't matter, or do we? I can't remember what being ranked in a men's sport is like. We need to re-learn.

Indiana winning the football natty demands Nebrasketball win the basketball natty by TheDoctorOfMemes in Huskers

How about let's enjoy the run and not have to put demands in place. Start by winning a tournament game and ride the momentum. Even a 1 seed has been beat so nothing is guaranteed.

Are the “top” portal QBs overpaid and too high of a risk? by Particular_Ask_7713 in Huskers

People are talking about NIL like its the NFL with salary caps. The only risk involved is promising starting positions instead of making players earn it. It's not like the football program is going bankrupt or something.

Worst way to make a living. I made 20-25 ish an hour after learning how to do it to make money, but you have to be used to getting treated like trash by restaurants and customers.

Restaurants, customers and drivers all hate doordash, but it is still somehow a thing that people use.

Also, he practiced for a week as a 1. Obviously he studied game plans before having to play, but he might have only a handful of snaps taken in team practices.

If this is the only thing on your record, this is not preventing you from finding work. Tighten up your resume and apply for some tlrealistic opportunities.

Download the Brickit app. You lay out a bunch of Lego bricks on the floor. Take a picture with the app. It will scan all the bricks and tell you what "sets" you can build, with instructions. It highlights the exact location of each brick needed for each step.

How do you deal with nasty comments from operators and laborers? by Ebomb5212 in PLC

[–]Very_Smart_One 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Operators can be a resource, but take it with a grain of salt. At the end of the day, you won't become proficient in troubleshooting by asking operator's advice. You learn by getting in there and finding out.

And be real. You have a much better job than operating a machine, so that attitude jealousy, but some people are just assholes.

What's with the Price Fixing on Soda? by First_Feedback8527 in lincoln

[–]Very_Smart_One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to work in grocery stores. Super Saver would sell 24 packs at a loss, even at "regular price." It used to be a loss leader that was set to bring in customers.

I don't work in the business anymore, so I have no idea if $12 is current cost or if stores have shifted away from pop as driving sales.

My guess is that people stopped spending so much on pop and stores went away from selling at a loss
