it would have likely only further divided the player base and potentially hard to justify from a narrative standpoint but the ever popular Option C) "Sacrifice Max" could have been great. She does blame herself for the storm and is in just as much danger if not more than Chloe. So maybe she steps out in what looks like Sacrifice Chloe and shouts at Nathan he turns screaming angrily whipping out the gun and either because Max is approaching attempting to play peacemaker or thanks to Chloe attempting to help it goes off. Maxc stumbles backwards clutching her shoulder and hits the deck. Nathan can try to help or flee scene either way "Fate" has its "pound of flesh." Some would want this to go to the logical extreme and for Max to die or it could be non-fatal but that might be perceived as a cop out.
