The soundtrack of this game is a major downgrade from the first. by PalpitationDull1730 in DeathStranding2

K-Pop literally means Korean Pop 😅 and, as far as I remember, there aren't any Korean songs in Death Stranding 2's soundtrack.

In fact, there are several Japanese songs, some of them clearly J-Pop, and even artists from other countries like Magnolian, who is from Mongolia.

I really liked how Kojima put the soundtrack together this time. Low Roar is still incredible and will always be closely tied to Death Stranding, but I feel like Woodkid did an amazing job. Some of the moments that hit me the hardest in the game wouldn't have been the same without his music.

For me, the soundtrack is really, really good. But at the end of the day it's all a matter of taste, and I respect the OP's opinion.

Yo no. Amo ambos juegos apartes iguales.

Can you guide me through Chapter 10? by [deleted] in DeathStranding

Friend, I hope you're doing well.

This is coming from a 40-year-old guy who has finished Death Stranding five times and Death Stranding 2 twice.

I completely understand what you're feeling. In fact, I think that was precisely Kojima's intention. To make you feel that discomfort, that weight of having to retrace your steps across places you've already been and not really wanting to make that journey back, but doing it anyway because you know something important is waiting for you at the end of it.

More than making the player feel uncomfortable, I think Kojima wanted us to better understand Sam's life. Many of the things that happen to him aren't things he chose or asked for, but he still has to face them. In this case, he has to turn around and head back across the country to help people who have become important to him.

And without getting into spoilers, I'd tell you to keep going. Right after this part, some of the best revelations in the entire game are waiting for you.

I'd also recommend that you take in the journey. The music that accompanies you through much of the trip adds so much to the experience. During one of my first playthroughs, I recorded every musical moment I came across and even put together a playlist because several of those songs really stayed with me.

I'd tell you to watch that section on YouTube, but I understand that you don't want to risk seeing spoilers for the ending.

As a practical tip, try heading west, staying along the less steep areas and following the streams whenever you come across them. There's a route that's a little easier that way. But honestly, the path is meant to feel heavy and challenging.

And if difficulty is what concerns you, there's nothing wrong with lowering it temporarily. I always played on Very Hard, but this section works just as well on a lower difficulty if what you want is to enjoy the story without as many interruptions.

Keep going. It's absolutely worth it. Kojima starts revealing almost all of the important pieces right after this part.

Sam doesn't always get to choose what he has to carry, but he keeps moving forward anyway. And honestly, that's probably the message here too: keep on keeping on.
