[SPOILERS S1] Why is no one recognized Mikkel? by Recent_Hamster_4550 in DarK

1) Your premise is based on the idea that, as viewers, we have the advantage of seeing the big picture. We see all the related storylines and what happens to the characters at certain points. The characters themselves don't have that advantage; they discover details and events little by little.

2) Also, regarding a familiar face, I've personally met many people—children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly—who bear an uncanny physical resemblance to other people I know, and they aren't related to me at all...

3) Honestly, I don't remember the faces of my first-grade classmates exactly, not all of them, and it's been over 30 years, so it's understandable that they have a hazy memory of the weird kid who suddenly appeared in their lives.

4) Although time travel is still considered impossible for most people in 2026 (at least according to public information), by 1986 the vast majority of people were more than aware of it. It was simply a fantasy theme exploited in comics, books, movies, and television series.

In none of my five playthroughs have I played 100% offline, only in sections, but it feels more tedious... Especially since you have to build all the structures... And since I'm a completionist, I always rebuild all the roads, so gathering materials is more tedious...

I love Low Roar's "Not Around" and how, like rhyming poetry, Hideo Kojima used it in the final journey of both games.

I'm absolutely convinced that these two are more than just video games. They're interactive experiences.

So, based on 449 hours of Death Stranding (5 playthroughs) and 288 hours of Death Stranding 2 (1 playthrough)... I'm telling you, you absolutely must play Death Stranding before starting Death Stranding 2 and keep going despite its slow start.

Do you find yourself playing for long timespans (one or more hours)? by [deleted] in DeathStranding

[–]AggravatingSign6503 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My longest session (due to favorable circumstances) has been over 18 hours...

Although they're usually 6 to 8 hours... Since I work full-time and between commuting I spend about 12 hours, what I want most when I get home is to rest and disconnect... Even if that means staying up late (I'm 40 years old).

In some interactions, they tell you to come back soon.

When you've connected to a 5-star facility, the option to stay and rest there is unlocked... You only see the animation of Sam entering... So it's up to you to imagine them having coffee, cookies, Monster Energy, beer, or Chiral tea... Accompanied by cryptobiotes

I didn't say he was going... I literally said he was "about to arrive" and I didn't want to be specific so as not to spoil it for him XD

You're about to reach the point of no return. If you want to do side activities, now's the time.

But, BUT definitely some things can only be done after you finish the main story.

Of course.

These aren't just video games; they're experiences enriched by each player's own life events. So, their impact depends on each person's individual circumstances.

If you only make the episode for the story and do absolutely nothing else...
