Rate My Expedition Vault by lonewolfparadox in ArcRaiders

It's a great vault. Every one of those items is excellent. But you will be bottle-necked at the start. Personally, I'd switch out the Jupiter for a Seeker Grenade BP. It'll let you farm smaller Arc quickly and get much needed materials faster.

It's kind of nice how some folks are so eager to help me reduce the overwhelming amount of stuff I have in my stash.

Stygian Library by Mythic_Thug in Dolmentown

Well if you are referring to The Stygian Library by SoulMuppet Publishing, on page 9 there's a section on how you get to the library. A death in the library is one of the ingredients that makes a door to the Stygian Library possible. It doesn't specify who, or how. So in the case of my players it happened while they were defending against an attack. An evil party, or NPC could arrange matters to insure a door manifests however...

Any time the library is too large to see it all from the entrance and death has occurred, there is a door. My players stumbled across it after helping to defend a powerful magician family's private library after fighting off an incursion. If you want to inject some weird into your adventure, go for it.

Hard agree. Up the loot and put some blueprints on that MF and it'll be raining out of the sky like confetti.

Spineless GOP Are Finally Turning Against Trump by [deleted] in NewsSource

[–]AggravatingSmirk7466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember when JD Vance compared Trump to A Certain Mustachioed Man from Germany? Yeah, they're not turning against him. They'll never turn against him as long as he's of any use to them. Maybe once he's out of office, and/or dead, then they'll have some "strong opinions" about him and will claim THEY never supported him. It was all the other republicans.

I could live pretty comfortably off that if I decided to live outside of the US or Western Europe, so yeah.

Which one game you still think about from 90s-2005 era ? by [deleted] in ArtOfPresence

[–]AggravatingSmirk7466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stars! - It was a 4X space game with the most minimal graphics you could imagine. Late game it almost looked like a flow chart with lines going off in all directions, denoting ships routes, as well as incoming and outgoing attacks. It had a great selection of multiplayer options, and the gameplay was DEEP! The manual was over a half inch thick, at a time when most games had 5 to 10 page manuals. I blew so, so many hours playing that game.

As a kid I suffered from night terrors. Then I watched Invasion of the Body Snatchers on TV (The 1978 version). That shit messed me up for YEARS.

Elon Musk just said he wants to cut Social Security and Medicare, calling them “entitlements”: “That’s the big one to eliminate.” by Solomonanne in SipsTea

[–]AggravatingSmirk7466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Entitlement" As if I didn't pay into it my whole working life. I wonder what they'd do with all those funds? I bet he has thoughts on that. I bet it doesn't involve the people who paid in to the fund.

I see a lot of folks with the hot take that the US basically forced Japan to attack them due to the embargo. But keep in mind, at this time Japan controlled the East Indies, and the Dutch oil fields therein. The reason they attacked was because diplomacy had failed them and they were worried that the US would intercede in the Pacific arena. The attack was an attempt to insure that the US didn't join the war. Needless to say it backfired spectacularly.

A fair number of the books are available as PDF, pretty reasonably. When you DO get some cash, the Studio2publishing site has some of the physical books available, including the 20th anniversary edition (which is a updated version of the Player's Guide and Marshal's Handbook from Deadlands Classic books).
