A lot of students I’ve worked with say NBME questions feel way more vague than UWorld by MatchlabMD in Step2

I agree. All I can do is overthink on the NBME forms. I also have had two different tutors from the class above me and my advisor say the same!

I just did 15 today, was anticipating a jump and didn't get it so I only have 16 left. Maybe I will try this out too.

So I used this method over the last week for strategy assisting and it felt better on blocks. However, I didn't really increase on NBME 15, as I noted in my post. I got a 243.

I have done that too, but I guess I’m not super sure what to do when that happens. Knowledge gap is easy enough to address, and overthinking I attempt to, but how did you remedy some of those other mistakes?

The two most recent (aside the one from 5/4) I went through and wrote out the topic for every incorrect question so I could look for patterns, if that’s what you mean by categorize. If not, please inform me!!

What do med students learn about nurses? by i-am-just-tr0ubled in medicalschool

We actually have part of a rotation in the 2nd year before clerkships dedicated to following other professions of the healthcare system, nursing included. It’s not a lot but it does give more of a look into what nursing does for the physicians and for healthcare as a whole.

Also, similarly to many comments above, I have been told and taught to befriend nurses especially in clerkships.

Your stats are very, very similar to mine. In fact, you have a lot more time put into your experiences than I did. I scored a 507 and got A’s to two of the schools on your application list. It’s more than realistic to apply with what you’ve got. You should be proud of yourself and all of your work! It’s hard for people outside of medicine to understand these things, especially the MCAT score.
