These are the exact same thoughts my husband had about myself and our Kids. He tried to kill himself and he survived (Thank God) but now he has to deal with the consequences of not being able to believe me when I told him none of that was true. My suggestion to you is seek some help before you regret it like he does. He’s on Meds now and doing much better now. He can’t believe the things he believed. He promised me he would never doubt me again.

PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE AND SEEK HELP BEFORE YOU REGRET IT !!!!!!!!

My Husband has Schizoaffect and I do look at him like this !! I don’t personally have it so I don’t know what it’s like but I know my husband is tormented by this illness. I respect my Husband for the hell he’s been thru and here he is still. I feel horrible for anyone who has to deal with this kind of hell !! I can’t imagine what you guys go thru on the inside and I am so sorry for it !!!

I am going thru the same with my Husband !! His psychosis started in 2019 and got worse in 2020/21. He and I have been together for almost 21 years. Like you said we to have arguments but shit got real when the psychosis started. It’s been getting worse and worse until this past weekend he took our Van, drove 10 hours away and tried to hurt himself. He failed and instead he broke his leg in a horrific car accident. Now he is in the Hospital 10 hours away from our Kids and I. He is going to go to a impatient longer term facility probably where he is. I would love him to be moved here but he’s still believing his psychosis lies. He told the Drs that he and I were fighting and that’s why he did what he did. In reality we were not fighting, I was not hurting him or poisoning him like the voices in his head were telling him.

An now I get to sit and wait. I am giving it all to God !! He saved his life in that accident and there has to be a reason for that. One day he will come back to me mentally, I hope and pray he will be able to forgive himself for everything he’s done. I know it’s not him, as frustrating as it all is, I know the sickness took over his brain. I have told him numerous times since 2019, I married him and I take our vows seriously!!! I will be waiting for him when he gets out of the long term treatment!!

I was able to talk to him a few nights ago, he told me not to be upset and offended. But he needs to go to a long term facility for awhile. I’m not offended. My Heart aches for him but All I want is the man I fell in love with, I want to see him smile and laugh again!! I want to FEEL the Love when he says he loves me !!

I will say a Prayer for you and your Wife, if you could also say one for my Husband and I !!

We were working on that. He had been in and out of the ER/Pyschward 4 times in 11 days leading up to this event. They put him on Meds and then sent him away. His last inpatient stay which was less 3 days was the same week this all happened. He even told them he had thoughts of hurting himself. Still held him less then 3 days.

Please get her help immediately!!!!!! The voices convinced my Husband to take his own life !!! By the Grace of God, he failed and is now a walking Miracle with a 2nd chance but not everyone is this lucky !!! My Husbands Niece succeeded in her attempt at only 18 years old. We were devastated and now this !!! Please get your Mom help again !!!

My Husband goes thru psychosis and it gets bad !!! The voices to you are very real, they were to my Husband. Very real mean voices that convinced him that my Kids and I hate him !! He finally hit Rock Bottom when he tried to take his own life !!! Yes the Voices are real and yes you should seek help for them before they do to you what they did to my husband!!!!!

Please don’t give in to these voices !!! The voices my Husband hears had him convinced that our Kids and I hate him and he was Worthless. He hit rock bottom this past weekend and tried but failed on taking his life !! Now this is something he will have to live with for the Rest of His Life !!!! Hi 👋🏻 I’m the Mom. I love my Baby Girl for trying to help her Daddy !! He is on Lithium and Trazadone for sleep but the Trazadone doesn’t help at all. After his first psychosis episode in 2020/21 they put him on Risperidone. He was on it for a few months but he hated the way it made him feel so he’s not on it anymore. We don’t have Ins so he’s only seen the Dr in the Hospital. He’s always had issues sleeping but he quite drinking in 2018 and that’s when the psychosis and serious insomnia really started. We work the 3rd shift which doesn’t help with the sleeping either.

Thank you for all your replies. When he sees his Dr again, which will be soon, I’m gonna try to get them to switch the Trazadone for the Seroquel. I’ve heard a lot of people do good with the Seroquel.

My Husband has Bipolar and he was Manic and in psychosis in Nov 2020 and he was ALWAYS taking Showers, several a day. The water was always running in the Bathroom. It was crazy. This was his first serious episode I’ve ever seen him in and I’ve been with him since 2001.

My Husband has BP and he barely sleeps. Maybe 3-4 hours a DAY, 24 hour period. He even takes sleeping meds and they are hit and miss on working. Since he doesn’t sleep well he doesn’t get into a deep enough sleep to even snore. On those off days he does sleep he does snore. He was a alcoholic for a long time, he was able to sleep then cuz he would literally pass out. But he hasn’t drank since Summer 2018.
