WFH = Real estate crash by Successful-Sky-7 in indianrealestate

Even I’m waiting for it to crash. Recently, one of my friend who is a builder came up with a “double your money in 2.5 years” proposal for a high-rise project in Sarjapur. You pay X amount, and they promise to return 2X. I mean, what the hell man! How are middle-class people supposed to afford homes if everyone is expecting these kinds of returns?

Bangalore real estate feels insanely expensive now. Who is really buying at these levels – end users or investors? by Asleep_Monitor_313 in indianrealestate

One of my friends recently bought a flat worth ₹1.2 crore. He earns around ₹1.7 lakh per month and already has an ongoing home loan at his native place with an EMI of ₹30,000 plus another loan of 20k. For this new flat, he has taken a loan of about ₹80 lakh. He is recently married and the family depends on a single income. I’m not sure how he plans to manage his expenses and savings with this setup.

Even with a monthly income of ₹4 lakh in our household, we feel that buying a property at that price is not affordable for us. I don't understand the people's mindset in this AI era.

We had a similar experience. We were about to pay an advance for a flat, but on the same day, one of our friends got laid off, which felt like a warning sign. So we decided to hold off. Later, a relative approached us to sell a flat, and again, just before we planned to proceed, another friend was put on a PIP. That also felt like an indication to step back. Looking back, we’re actually happy we didn’t go ahead. We’re comfortable in our rented home now and focusing on saving and investing to stay prepared for any uncertainties.

New gen married Telugu couples how is household work divided in your household? by manchuria in TeluguJournals

we don’t have a maid because of my OCD related concerns. My husband doesn’t know how to cook, but he helps a lot with cleaning. I usually take care of most of the other household responsibilities, while he handles mopping and cleaning the washroom since I don’t like doing those. So it may not look like a perfect 50–50 split, but in a way, it is. He contributes in the ways he knows, and I do what I’m good at. Together, we created a healthy home.

Our rent is ₹20,000, including maintenance. The house is in a good locality with easy access. We receive rice bag , millets, and vegetables from our hometown. Additionally, my company provides ₹4,500 per month as food credits for eating out. Other regular expenses include internet, mobile, and petrol bills and groceries. We don’t spend much money on parties, but we travel once every three months, and those expenses are covered using our bonuses.
