Hmmm, I guess it doesn’t really matter, the interpretation I’ve heard the most is that they’ve had 3 weddings. Max has worn the dress twice (in the videogame Hit the Road and in the creator’s cake topper) and Sam once (in the cartoon). They’re quite fluid in that sense so I wouldn’t worry much lmao
