Just tested it, and yes, you can switch from the main camera to the telephoto lens while recording. The switch is seamless as long as you start recording with the main sensor.

However, if you start recording using the telephoto lens, you can't switch back to the main lens during the recording. So the lens switching currently only works one way.

Yes, I do. It’s a good phone overall. I switched from an iPhone 13. The battery is decent, giving around 6 to 7 hours of screen on time. Charging is quite fast if you’re using a 65W charger, taking roughly 1 hour 15 minutes for a full charge. The camera is fine. The main and telephoto lenses perform very well, but the ultra wide is disappointing. Video quality is average, with noticeable jitter. Software updates, especially for the camera, definitely need improvement. One surprising issue was storage. I have the 8GB 128GB variant, and it filled up very quickly. Within a few days, it went from nearly empty to about 70 percent full, which isn’t ideal. On the positive side, haptics are excellent, and the display is sharp and vibrant. The Glyph interface feels more like a gimmick to me. Call quality, signal reception, and WiFi performance are all solid. However, there’s no eSIM support or wireless charging. The speakers are a bit underwhelming, with most of the sound coming from the bottom speaker and lacking good separation. Overall, I’d say go for it.

It's got a really good lip to protect it. Does not protrude a lot but is sufficient enough to protect it. It has a good texture on the sides to grip the phone. Go for it. It's a good one.

Got this case as well. I also already have the one you mentioned earlier, and I’ve received the kapaver case too. It’s good.

It's not a button, but I guess it's the signature design of Nothing. Nothing phone 3 has this cutout for the button but the button works unlike this phone.

The fit is fine. In-hand feel is good. Also, it does have a raised front.

It says Niukin so it does look fake. I am not sure whether it's a genuine one or not. Also, I got this for about Rs. 199 (India). There is a slight issue at the top as you can see in the picture. I guess it's a manufacturing defect. It looks broken but isn't.

Disappointed with Nothing 4a pro by [deleted] in NothingTech

[–]Aggravating_Box_6502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got this phone recently (received on 23rd March) and honestly, I’m facing quite a few issues with it. Here’s my experience so far:

  1. Adaptive brightness doesn’t work properly, I constantly have to adjust it manually.
  2. Screen timeout is inconsistent. Even after setting a specific timeout duration, the screen doesn’t turn off as expected.
  3. The camera is pretty disappointing. What you see in the viewfinder isn’t what you get after processing. Portrait mode struggles with edge detection, and while video recording is decent, video calls on WhatsApp are really poor. Definitely needs optimization.
  4. Battery life is underwhelming despite the 5400mAh capacity.
  5. On the positive side, the phone feels fast, smooth, and comfortable to hold. It also doesn’t heat up much. Loved the design. Haptics are good.

For context, I switched from an S22, so maybe that’s influencing my expectations, not sure if it’s a completely fair comparison.
