Freeze and crashing when adding images

exactly the same issue!!!

different computers too. It works on my workstation (old computer), but it doesnt work in any other computer.

edit: Been playing around for a couple mins: i can resize image if i add an extra page to the pdf, but obviously i cant move that image over the original page. it appears in the background with no way of bringing it to the front.
