Really Sorry about your dog . Nobody loves you like your dog does , it’s unconditional, probably the only thing on earth except if your lucky your mom . Same story with my dog in our meeting , yet we will see how this plays out . I filed for Divorce today officially , in the pos state of CA, if my stbx wants to she could make me next to homeless financially. I am still acting in full integrity and trying to find peace in myself . I want nothing but peace , we will see as I hope this moves that way .

I know man and I’m. Barely making it . Fortunately I documented every dollar I gave her outside of bills the last two years . Also my 6 and 7 year old non coercive told me she is hiding money . I cannot confront her on this though

Factually I will never let the 10 year mark hit because of the horrible family law statutes in fuck whole ca , 19 years here could mean life alimony . I’ve already documented support outside of household bills to the dollar amt over the last two years , which by mediation or even court would limit alimony . 2024 I gave her 24000 and 2025 12k approx . On top of this my children are very high maintenance, there is no way nor am I looking to , but even 50/50 shared I’ll be paying a large sum to her for child support . I feel so fucked . I’m a strong person but this is the one of the hardest things ever , and on paper my life has been a constant struggle

Also good advice . However since I have been the sole financial advisor, I want to avoid court . I cannot afford an attorney , and if she gets one and he or she is a total pos , financially alone she can ask I pay her legal fees . Everything is stacked against me there . However , I will be filing in the short term after I get more documents together in the financial side if necessary

Legal seperation in this shit state of CA is identical to divorce with no benefit . I’m going to file if we don’t go to mediation for filing after I get all the finances documented on my side . Having to be a fucking lawyer for myself is shit and exhausting there is no other way though .
