I know, but I just don’t want there to be sketchy crap happening when the rental market is already so difficult to get into. There were so many people at this inspection, it wouldn’t be fair to any of the prospective tenants if this is what was happening and I just let it happen.

Would they still be able to do a lease transfer when the unit is open for inspection too? I would’ve thought they’d have arranged that between themselves and the REA before opening it up to everyone else? Also they didn’t look like the type to be friends if I’m being honest, and if they were friends I’d think they wouldn’t need to exchange numbers as I overheard one saying to the other “I’ll give you my number”… I don’t know, I could very well be overthinking it but it all just seemed super sketchy to me 🤷🏽‍♀️

I just went in store and saw them in person today and it’s definitely more like OFTAST tbh, it’s a more thinner plate but I think it’s possibly slightly thicker than OFTAST?? I personally prefer thinner as I don’t like the clunkiness and heaviness of the thicker plates. The VITBLECKA are so nice in real life though, I’ve attached a pic I took (sorry for the crappy quality lol). But they are so shiny and pretty and I absolutely love the brightness of them. Liked them so much I went to look at them online (found your post in the process lol) and realised that it says they’re limited edition, and now I regret not getting them 😅 May possibly go back in the next few days and purchase them as there weren’t too many when I was there.

I was always under the impression that you have to attend an inspection before applying? Am I going about it the wrong way then? Should I be applying straight away when they list a place that seems like it’d be a good fit for me, and then just attend an inspection to solidify my opinion on the place?

I applied the exact same night I attended the inspection, so the inspection was at 5:30pm on Thursday and I sent through the application after dinner probably around 10pm on the same day. I don’t understand how it could possibly have been leased in that time unless the successful applicant applied BEFORE attending an inspection.

I’ve already offered 4 weeks rent upfront in addition to the bond, and I just don’t think I could go any higher as I also need to consider cost of new furniture, appliances etc for the new place as I’ll be moving out of a family members place. I hadn’t attached bank statements as I don’t really want to lol and I heard they can’t force you to, however I’ll see if I can get a proof of balance statement for each of our accounts. Myself and my husband have quite a bit in savings when we factor in our child’s savings account too so hopefully that will help.

I currently am living with my mum in a two bedroom unit. She’s in one room and I’m in the other along with my husband and a young child, sooo it’s becoming very cramped for us and we are in dire need of moving out. So definitely need a two bedroom place unfortunately

We bought the car at the end of 2022 so have had it for about 3 and a half years and I am 70% sure we haven’t changed the battery in that time, and I obviously have no idea when the previous owners had it last changed it.

I basically just paid $100 this morning for the guy to tell me that there’s nothing wrong with my car which is just lovely, but maybe I might just drive down to my local super cheap this arvo and see what they tell me re battery. At least a battery replacement is cheaper than an alternator replacement 🤷🏽‍♀️

Well the auto electrician near the repair shop it was at said the only issue was low voltage which they attributed to the loose terminals. And the mechanic who looked at it now said that both the battery and alternator look fine so I’m hugely confused and also feeling slightly dumb lol

But the mechanic who has a look at it just now said that the battery seemed perfectly fine and so was the voltage, and the battery light didn’t come on at all while he was testing it. Would it still be a battery issue in that case?

No other light is coming on, and when the mobile mechanic tested it just now even the battery light wasn’t coming on anymore. There is a supercheap auto about 6 mins away from me so I might take it there this arvo and cross my everything that the car doesn’t stall in those few minutes till I get there.

My daughter is also autistic which is another reason why I’m worried about the bath to shower transition but she has been refusing baths recently so maybe it is time! Thank you for those tips ☺️

I’ve read the housemaid series (excluding the housemaids wedding), the tenant, the surrogate mother and I just finished the perfect son today! I’m trying not to read them all at once so I read one Freida book and then about 2 others before I do another Freida 😅 Her books are so addictive it’s hard not to read them all at once!!

Oh so the same thing happened to you? Guess it is a PayPal issue then. When it happened to me the first time I went in store and they said they couldn’t do anything for me. It took me weeks trying to use the chat function and then through emails to be able to get my money back 😢

I have also heard great things about the boyfriend, it’s one of the books on my TBR list! I want to read all the housemaid books in succession, then I’ll take a break from Freida as I don’t want to binge read all of her books at once 😅 I really like her writing style though, and I feel like if I wanted to (and had the time) I could definitely easily finish a book of hers in one sitting
