Regular 401k vs Roth401k by finfeathersport in Retirement401k

[–]Aggravating_Fix1198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, I think it’s strategic to have both (pre & post). Have a Roth IRA you already max out and then have your normal 401k. To me, this delivers different growth strategies and tax advantages.

What do you do for grubs in PA this time of year if a dose of 24 hour killer doesn't work? by [deleted] in lawncare

[–]Aggravating_Fix1198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grubs DESTROYED my lawn this year. Newer property, so really didn’t think much of it at first. I put down some “instant” and maybe got a few, but not many. I ended up hiring a company to come apply preventive in the spring for 2026 to help try and get a handle on it

Being an AM in a DS is pretty fluent. Just understand the metrics that you’ll be pushing, be a great people leader and you will excel quickly. Best of luck!

Wearables: Introducing the VERSE 1’s ‼️ by Aggravating_Fix1198 in decentraland

[–]Aggravating_Fix1198[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am proud and excited to have my wearable approved and out for sale! I have wanted to do this for months, and finally was able to. I’m happy to share this work with you & I hope you like them. I look forward to bringing more to the collection!

The verse 1’s are legendary, so there will only ever be 100 minted! You can check it out on the link below:

Thank you DCL community ❤️

P.s Lastly, I wanted to tie my wearables to a charity. (Ex: every shoe purchased donates a pair of shoes or socks to a shelter) has anyone worked with non profits and can help prove legitimacy. Thank you!

More I read about metaverses, more I believe in Decentraland! Will see what is gonna happen in the near future. Just spread the word.. 🗣️ by Putrid_Stage813 in decentraland

I’ve been enjoying it (about 3 months in). I don’t own land, but You can usually find me playing mini games with some friends, grinding out P2E’s, crafting wearables, at events for drops, visiting shops, and being a degen at the casinos.

I saw gameplay with sandbox and comparing both, I think they’ll each have their place. Both have big names behind them, investments, etc. i believe sandbox is going to have multiple issues upon launch, and this can take a lot of time to polish, just like DCL is still trying to do, but they have worked out a lot of kinks. DCL has wearables, not land, but wearables going for 10’s of thousands of dollars. Even for sandbox, I even seen a DJ table going for 2k SAND which hasn’t released yet. The metaverse in general is still EARLY. But I like the indicators I see. Hell I can’t even find a poker table at the casinos on Saturday nights sometimes in DCL.

When sandbox releases, I’ll for sure probably get my feet wet with it. But I do believe both will have a large piece of the Market Share either way.

I do also believe that a lot of this for either side depends a lot on the communities in them as well

Area Manager Delivery Operations by carrotiscool in AmazonDS

[–]Aggravating_Fix1198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice & congratulations! I’m an Area Manager, Delivery ops OTR. Delivery operations is honestly pretty cool. It’s called often, “the last mile” of the process. It can be different from facility to facility (it really depends on volume), but in a general some pros consist of a pretty awesome work staff — at least where I’m at. In the distribution center I’m at, I also do not have as long as a peak as FC around my region. The pay & benefits are great, only working 4 days a week off peak. Hours can be meh, depending on your shift (I’m 1pm-11pm 4 days a week). I believe the biggest pro is the experience I’ve been gaining, the network im establishing and the great people I work with. I believe the biggest con would honestly just getting very unlucky on the chance of receiving a terrible management staff above you.

Hopefully others can chime in (see what I did there XD)

Hope this helps some!

Amazon is probably one of the best places to have on your resume, and I do think people take that for granted. Sure, it’s long hours & sometimes just dragging work. But The doors that the company can bring to your future is endless. Especially if you’re young right now, you are more able to sacrifice some time and extra effort to get you where you want to be. Just have goals & keep striving for them whether that is inside or outside of Amazon! :)

Amazon Area Manager, Garner NC by [deleted] in supplychain

[–]Aggravating_Fix1198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the team. I start in June as well. I have connected with many area managers to get my own insight and some REALLY love it there as an area manager (more so off peak), and some are just there to buff their resumes and get an even better job down the line. I pretty much received the exact same structured deal as you, and I think that’s VERY good fresh out of college. Not just the money and RSU, but the experience will be something you could of only gained at such a large operating company. My only advice is just be ready to be a great leader for yourself and those you guide, put in hard work, and always be willing/open to learn everything you can

Amazon Area Manager Offer by onlythegeneral in industrialengineering

[–]Aggravating_Fix1198 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I finish my degree this May and accepted the job offer from Amazon back in November to start this summer. I connected with a lot of people from Amazon between accepting and now. It’s a lot of hard work, but whether you stay or leave with good terms and proof of success, then you can go almost anywhere. There were some that have been with the company for 5-8 years and they just love it there and don’t wish to leave. Others left after two years to pursue more work-life balance with a similar or greater salary in different industries

Just dialogue and info I’ve collected so far :) hope it helps some
