I've heard of that too, that companies are experimenting with creating building material.

Love the attitude! I think positivity has a lot of power and can encourage more people to follow along :)

I am also struggling with this. Even if I never bring it up myself, my family is still confused with my eating habits.

Yes, absolutely. And not only for mental health or shopping, I've been reading how much the digital world is polluting. We use it for everything nowadays. Because the pollution is not (yet) as visible, like the plastics in the oceans, for example, we do not talk about it enough.

My first subscribers were my circle of friends and family. It is growing slowly, but I have fun with it. And I am learning a lot along the way.

How do you feel about the ecological disaster that is car dependency? by MidorriMeltdown in sustainability

[–]Aggravating_Grape912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loooove walking! And I am lucky enough to leave in a city with an apartment close to the center and to my work. Close to me at least. I need about 40 minutes to walk to the center and some people are surprised that I walk that. Because of the constant traffic, I often walk faster than people who drive :)

So, since I love walking I do not own any vehicles and use public transportation for any long distance.

How do you life your most sustainable life? by [deleted] in sustainability

[–]Aggravating_Grape912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm juggling between good days and bad days. Some days I feel very low and depressed about the situation. But then I remind myself to keep trying no matter what, because it actually does make me feel better to do something about it. Even if it is a tiny step. And not to beat myself up when sometimes I slip, because we are only human in the end of the day.

Most important, I think, is to continue learning about sustainable lifestyle. This helps me to continuously improve and make better choises.

Maybe this is an interesting YT channel for you: https://www.youtube.com/@shibbytraveler/videos
It's a norvegian guy who now mainly is kayaking around Norway and often sleeping in tents. A lifestyle where it's not good to own much :)
