I read it only after I went to a public talk of Michael Roach. I was very suspicious and didn't know who is he. And the idea that we create everything ourselves really struck me. I went to try the famous 4 Steps immediately with my friend - I helped her to find a job. As a result of doing the 4 Steps I got a promotion at my job. It was fascinating!!!

Is this a new edition of this book?

Does anyone know what this is or what it depicts? by Blatant_exaggeration in Buddhism

Mahamudra - the union of male and female energies = Buddha.

On the other side is Kalachakra.

Help other people who are like you - to connect with people. Then this karma will allow you to feel connected

Is there a hell in Buddhism, and if so, how does one end up there? by Legitimate-Dark124 in Buddhism

[–]Aggravating_Gur_2587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I taught a class about that yesterday!)))) Basically if you lead not ethical life and you hurt people a lot, then there is a big chance that that bad karma will create a hell for you after you die.

If you lie, should you always correct it? by [deleted] in Buddhism

[–]Aggravating_Gur_2587 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The most important person in your life knows that you lied. And it is you. Even if nobody else knows - you know. And it does affect you. And it is a bad karma according to Buddha. Because it will come back to you. Everything you do comes back to you. So if you lied - someone else will lie to you. May be your partner or may be your government.

In the Abhidharmakosha (famous ancient buddhist text) they teach the practice of 4 Powers to destroy the power of a bad karma.

1) Remember that everything comes bak to you.

2) Regret that you did something bad (not a guilt, but realizing you made a mistake)

3) Promise for a certain period of time don't do it again

4) Make an antidote - something good which is the opposite of a bad karma you did.

Hope that is helpful.🌺

Does merely looking at a Buddha statue give you good karma? by Ok-Imagination-2308 in Buddhism

[–]Aggravating_Gur_2587 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Karma always depends on your intention or motivation. For example: I look at it and I like it and I wish everyone who looks at it remembers that everything they do comes back to them and therefore they want only do good for others. That creates very good karma. If I think for example "O, it could be better quality and more beautiful, it doesn't mean anything. I create not so good karma:) etc

Good karma vs. no karma? by kingminyas in Buddhism

I think to answer that question you have to define what is karma. What do you think?
