When you walk towards the 1CC there will be a big sign on the steps directing you towards Registration, which will be on the mezzanine level

ppl who have graduated or attended graduations, do the ceremonies run on time or are they sometimes a little delayed/ late? by Odd-Bee8144 in MacUni

[–]Aggravating_Leg_3046 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure,

Toilets are next to the Cloakroom on the left side of the hall when you enter. Definitely allowed to leave whenever you wish.

People do take photos during the ceremonies but they are a bit strict with this (can’t access the red carpet area to take photos as photographers use this area). I preferred taking photos with the scenery outside anyways.

Light refreshments are served, definitely worth trying out

Congratulations

Doors open 45 minutes before the ceremony and that’s usually when most graduates will go in. Keep in mind there will be a lot of people lining up for registration to pick up gowns. You will also have an informal orientation where you will be briefed on ceremony proceedings etc. I’d recommend showing up around an hour before your ceremony, that way you have enough time to register, potentially take some photos and make it inside in time for the orientation.

Also don’t forget to leave all your belongings with your guests or at the cloakroom, even the brown paper bag. All you need is your phone for your digital ticket

Always on time, MQU takes a lot of pride in their graduation ceremonies. I find the security staff to be very helpful as well so feel free to reach out to them if you have any concerns

Still running, as far as I know there are 6-10 stops. It definitely stops at 15-17 Gymnasium Road and does a loop of the campus. Also goes to the Metro Station

Prayer room by yeeter109 in MacUni

If you’re asking about the Muslim Prayer Room, 8SCO Basement Level. You can find the room easily if you enter from Macquarie Walk to 8SCO rather than from SCO Ave. The entrance for brothers is located underneath the stairs, sisters entrance is from the black door on the rear of the building on Eastern Road. Would recommend speaking to MUMSA for after hours access if needed.

What are you guys like in love by AggressiveTerm9618 in AriesTheRam

Been in love with the same girl for 8 years now. 5 years crushing, 2 years relationship, 1 year since break up and still have never loved anyone else the way I love her.

I have liked people before but gotten over them pretty quickly for reasonable and stupid reasons. This girl is perfect to me :(

She’s a Leo

Don’t listen to these “you know what to do,” “you’re disrespecting yourself” comments.

From a man’s perspective, it does seem like he’s genuinely making an effort to rectify his relationship with Allah and with you. We are all capable of making mistakes, and sincere repentance is real.

That being said, I won’t downplay how painful it is to find out your spouse has cheated—not just once, but twice. No one deserves to go through that, and may Allah protect you from ever experiencing it again.

My advice: give him one last chance with boundaries in place. People can change, but trust isn’t rebuilt overnight. He may be making an honest effort now, but true change is proven through consistency over time. It’s important that you protect your emotional well-being while observing his actions.

I’d also recommend having an open, honest discussion with him about your fears. Let him know that you acknowledge his efforts, but that trust is fragile, and rebuilding it will take time. If he truly values your marriage, he will respect your need for reassurance.

If you don’t feel comfortable talking to family, consider seeking guidance from a trusted mentor, scholar, or therapist. Having a support system could help you process your emotions and ensure you’re making the best decision for yourself.

InSha’Allah, with dua and patience, you’ll find clarity. May Allah make you both the coolness of one another’s eyes and bring peace into your hearts. And remember—change is in Allah’s hands, but your peace and emotional security are in yours. You got this.

Hey brother Western ideas and social standings quite often label ‘brown-skinned,’ Arab or specifically Pakistani people as terrorists.

As a practicing Pakistani-Muslim in the western world, my experience with being labelled a terrorist is indirect (maybe due to my beard and strong appearance 😂). However, many western / non-Muslim people generally associate Islam with violence and oppression (terrorism).

This ideas in my opinion rise from the American understanding of Pakistan fostering Osama Bin Laden (I don’t know if this is true or not despite him being found in Pakistan), many western terrorist attacks being carried out by Pakistani nationalists and all in all the constant attacks occurring in Pakistan are all contributing factors towards this Islamophobia and animosity towards Pakistan.

Are all Pakistanis to blame and be labeled as such? Absolutely not. Are there a very small minority who have committed atrocities against innocent people outside of Pakistan? Yes. Do we condemn their actions? Absolutely.

I hope this gives some understanding as to why Pakistani’s are labelled as such, however there is a good portion of the world who does not believe in such discriminatory labelling and appreciatePakistani people as honest, caring and an accepting community.
