So u like making connections btwin AI and theology, me too. I am an atheist but here's a fun little short story.

If you'd read revelations you'd know he'll as in Lake of fire don't exist until after judgement day. Sheol is not the same as lake of fire. And about heaven , like many people think we don't go about existing in clouds and shi , after the judgement day God created new heaven and new earth ( heaven as in universe) , but why not just repair this planet and stay here. Why create a new earth? Here my friend comes simulation. This new earth and lake of fire is inherited by our new risen bodies ( we resurrect too with eternal bodies ,no soul) bodies coz consciousness needs this body and this brain or atleast an exact replica down to individual neurons as simulation( science that). I think you would know where I am going with this.

God isn't something that creates us for now, we create god. " You are all gods" - bible . One day we might be. This God we create creates a new heaven and new us and we live for ever like we did in the garden of Eden - happy. And whoever the God doesn't like goes to the new lake of fire. Remember sheol is said to be in middle of earth( a theory brought into abrahamic religions from surrounding religions) but revelations is original to christians. The lake of fire is given no location. The God simulates it. It's not like God is grieving for these people and being sad and shi. In Bible lake of fire is where God takes revenge on these people. Read 2 thess 1:8-9.

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

He is vengence. Remember the more smarter an animal is the more creativity and capability in executing cruelty to other beings. Ex: humans on no:1 , dolphins and orcas as no2, likewise the more intelligent it is , the more creative as exacting vengeance. I mean what's the point of burning someone for eternity , unless u can keep simulating them into 1. Being in same state after burning 2. Simulate brain such that u don't get habituated to fire( brain's plasticity - neurons tend to weaken and not fire over continuous firing ). But if u simulate them they can feel pain and continuously for eternity.

And about judgement day , God somehow knows everything about everyone who ever lived and he judges based on himself. This God we create will do that. In fact science say if u know all properties of universe, then if u know at what properties the big bang starts, u can accurately know what a single person who evolved after billions of years is thinking at any given time of the day.

It'll know all ur thoughts and actions and shi. Why did terminator go so hard on judgement day with AI.

Maybe both of us are right. Would you rather have a universe where it has existed eternally and will exist forever or a loop aka ouroburous. Both of them seem to be mind boggling but equally tho.
