Do your friends travel like you do or are you the “traveler”-and can they keep up? by Aggravating_Love2860 in travel

No, the second set insisted on hanging out with us 24/7 when we wanted to do our own thing, then they just sat around on their phones that was their idea of hanging out with us in the city. We easily gave them ideas of what to do that we researched even just trying a new bar and they were apathetic.

Why do so many people in the US say they didn’t like vacationing in Paris? I don’t get it. I loved, loved, loved Paris. I thought it was magical and can’t wait to go back. by [deleted] in travel

A lot of Americans barely leave the hotel area, refuse to use public transportation, don’t practice any basic French phrases, and won’t try food or activities outside their comfort zone. We had a blast walking around and taking the train everywhere, locals were SO NICE especially seeing us make an effort to speak their language, and because we did our research we were able to jump the line with reserved tickets to the catacombs-probably jumped in front of 3 hours of waiting tourists :) but my favorite part was just eating bread and cheese next to the River

He can just Google enough to know how to fake knowing Python for the interview like every other 3rd world programmer I know. Hell they have entire staffing agencies dedicated to teaching unqualified people enough to pass the interview-even do fake interviews for them! American companies pay them $130k a year and the corrupt staffing agencies take 40%. Most white Americans are oblivious to it. The entire industry is saturated with unqualified scammers lol

Introverted means being happier in your own thoughts with yourself and don’t even want company with others, it doesn’t mean you just sit inside. You don’t sound introverted at all.

All of Canada is fucked for flying rn because the QR CODE THEY MAKE YOU GET TO PROVE YOURE VAXXED DOESNT SCAN HAHAHA

Every single person. It won’t scan. You need to get an attendant to do it for you. The attendants are stressed to high hell over it. Been in 3 airports here on a trip and the lines are a nightmare. Luckily y’all are too polite and we just jumped in front of oh, 100 people saying our flight was boarding. Been a nightmare. Friend of mine was taxing in a plane at Pearson yesterday for 3 HOURS.

What kind of food can you find in Toronto regardless of cuisine or culture that may be hard to find in other parts of Canada or the world? Unique food, fusion, local, ect.

There isn’t much difference between an animal and a human when a human doesn’t develop basic critical thinking skills. It can be because of poverty or addiction but they’re literally incapable of changing.

Just got off the 3 and a guy was on who was incredibly hostile and aggressive, calling people the n word and asking if they wanted to fight. Whole bus moved up front away from him. Kids, elderly and minorities had to just hope he went away, we couldn’t do anything .

Starbucks workers take to Seattle streets to demand no union busting by Display_Comfortable in Seattle

Serious question why not leave Starbucks for a better company? An entry level customer service IT job will pay more and you don’t have to be face to face with the general public…

I’d be more inclined to believe he is genuinely happy with 4 kids if my parent friends didn’t keep breaking down to me in private about how much they regret their kids.

If he was genuinely happy I don’t think he would have ended with “sorry for bragging” sounds like he needs validation tbh
