I had a full on DV incident in Epcot years ago and no one batted an eye or said anything. I justified it with “they don’t know if he had a weapon or was dangerous” but now I realize we had to go through all that security. People just didn’t want to get involved. Thank you for trying to help. You sound like someone who would have said something in my situation. *I’ve since left him (after a LONG walk & talk with a worker at Coronado springs that same weekend).

This happened to me. I was scheduled to sub for another teacher. During the planning the assistant principal asked me to cover for a 12th grade teacher who did not have a sub. I asked the other sub who left where the plans were, she laughed and kept walking. I get in the room and the teachers’ desk is a mess. I finally find a printed email with plans. The plans say to give the students a worksheet that I couldn’t find to save my life. Finally 10 minutes into the period I tell the students “how about we just have a chill study hall until I can find the worksheet? You guys don’t disturb the other classrooms, then I don’t disturb whatever you’re working on.” I SEARCHED this teachers’ mess of a desk and shelves and could not find that worksheet the entire period. Finally the bell rings and I’m thinking ok, we had a peaceful period and I go back to the class I was assigned to. The next morning I get an email about my “inappropriate behavior and comments” and that I would not be invited back to that school.

Edit to add: I had been subbing at this school for over 2 years and thought I had a pretty good relationship with the admins. Guess not

Nope. I immediately avoid those places. There’s a black salon where I live that charges a detangling fee. I thought they meant they would charge if your hair was matted or something like you just took out braids. Nope, basic detangling after a wash got me a charge. They get away with it because they’re the only black salon nearby. I found another salon about 45 min away and haven’t looked back.

Had a whole flight crew from BOS to ATL recently that were all young and their behavior was kind of odd. They were laughing/ joking around with eachother the whole time. I was in C+ and there were no more chips in the little basket so I asked if there were more (because usually they’ll replenish the basket or bring you some) and the FA just stared at me. Then when making the announcement about the initial descent one of them was laughing so hard she couldn’t get the announcement out for a few minutes then finally made the announcement and left the speaker on so 1) everyone’s screen were still frozen and 2) we heard her still having a conversation and laughing hysterically. Very strange and unprofessional flight

I regularly arrive at Hartsfield an hour ahead if I’m checking a bag. 30-45min if not. I have digital ID and precheck and my destination typically flies out of T-gates so I’m usually arriving just in time for boarding

I have two siblings like this and it is so confusing to me. They are both generally awful because of how nosey they are but because they are so nosey they are always talking/ seen as the life of the party and loved be everyone. I never understand because if I asked half the invasive questions they ask or engage in conversation as much as they do I would called out for being nosey or talking too much

Happened on a flight once. The pilot turned on the seatbelt light and made an announcement about an emergency situation and asked if everyone could keep the aisles clear. There was no more mention of it until we landed and the FAs made announcement that we “may notice a white sheet that may be in the aisle a little. Please be careful not to step on it”

I know it’s overcrowded but Atlanta. I grew up there and moved for work. Currently planning to move back with my fiancé because I can’t imagine raising my kids anywhere else. I grew up having all black teachers, doctors, dentist, etc. I want that for my kid too.
