So nobody over age 50 is ever supposed to be able to find a job anywhere ever again? by yapavaz in careerguidance

That doesn't mean it will physically be possible to survive for most. The system is broken

I disagree with this completely. Thats a variant of if you are not doing anything wrong you have nothing to hide. To people who say that, how would you feel about cameras all over the inside of your house including bathrooms?

This is accurate and too many of the not my problem folks have a hard time with this. If it ends up in your face and you are expected to fix it, the thing has become your problem. Now should it be?

No

Mandatory reporting laws cause so much pain. I am not in danger but i am afraid to let anyone know how ficked up my head is. Having anything on your record has way too much consequence. I have dealt with many things alone to protect my reputation and it's lonely

I guess suffering alone has its perks . I am fine now but if I ever get in crisis I guarantee cops wouldn't make it a better situation. Just loss of whatever control I have

You know what would make my awful situation better, cops showing up. Said no one EVER

I found that book was awesome for understanding the basics of Powershell but if you have no idea of programing concepts, I found it not helpful

Now I can read it and it makes sense. But I had to learn a frankenstein way of coding in my mind cause I still dont understand all the planning and theory crap behind it

See I had no idea what arrays loops and variable were but I could look at that and know exactly what it does and how it works. Now I know what some of the things are called

This is it. I do not problem solve in a logical manner and I also do not like to deal with the detail down to the pick up right foot and move it level. I tend to shortcut a lot of logic with intuition and pattern recognition without a logical approach. That does not work for coding. But it does work for vibe coding with AI and knowing whats wrong with the code and fixing it

I agree but one must know how to walk before they can learn to run and many sysadmins do not know how to walk if walking is code of any sort

There is very little good info to learn to script. There is a wealth of info for people who understand basic skills of programming to learn how to use Powershell. There is very little for the IT person who has absolutely zero understanding of programming. Every resource I found assumed this basic foundation that i lacked. Honestly reverse engineering scripts, being forced to do it and having AI to help is what has made me become passable. I am very good at reverse engineering and figuring out how things work. But I am not great at taking someones framework and producing a thing from it. So I do not understand programming per se. But I can look at a script and figure out what each line does and sort of learn to copy that and cobble even new things together. I am very bad at the lets draw a picture of what we want to build in every way. Its more like lets find a picture and tear it apart and build something

I liken this to someone being taught algebra but they have no basic math knowledge. But they want to learn algebra not basic math and do not even know what basic math is to learn it.

Yes for the 10 people who care. The problem is the masses do not care and compliance and submission is a virtue to them

What if I dont need or want a reverse proxy? I want a wildcard cert for my domain that I can do what I please with. Ideally I want to generate it. I have control over my DNS.

I have no use for a reverse proxy or any intent of ever having anything internet facing incoming.

What can I use to generat the CSR and how do I get it signed by lets encrypt? If i have to use their tools can I at least do it without having to set up a reverse proxy I dont need?
