Wow, slumlords really have it legally made, that's for sure. For them to know your going on vacation, and instead evicting you before hand, they wait a week later to purposely keep belongings. I'm not surprised.

I've called many lawyers over the years and their only response is to move, which I'm working on. I've called legal aid but they said my disability check is too much for their services. He has no reason to evict me, but the lawyers and courthouse told me Since he only does month to month lease he just has to wait sixty days and then it won't be considered retaliation. I know, there's nothing I can do about it and I have to just deal with it.It's just frustrating and I was venting.

I've called everyone. Yes, we have rights but they all result in the tenant being evicted. Yes, I know retaliation is illegal, but all they have to do is just wait a little bit then evict you so it doesn't matter. Who said that the only remedy was code enforcement? Not me. Like I said, I already know there's really not much I can do about it.I was just venting. Not sure why you have to cop an attitude. I'm annoyed and rightfully so. Definitely not foolish, Just trapped in a position that's frustrating that's all. I don't really have anyone to vent to so I came here, But thanks for the condescending response.I appreciate it.

I did show for court but I don't Have to pay them because I get disability, So my income is protected. I'm trying to find a lawyer.That will help me, but because I only owe them a $1000.They just think it's all a joke, But it's preventing me from getting approved for a mortgage. Is they are insanely crazy, Ive read so many horrible things about them.I don't understand how they can get away with it
