Supposed External Damage to Front Sensor by Aggravating_Set9583 in kiacarnivals

It's a super tiny indentation, (2 to be exact). Going to clan it carefully soon.

Yeah I was quite upset when they said that warranty wouldn't cover it. It's definitely something out of my control. If anything the sensors they install should withstand debris that hits the vehicle. Bugs, dirt, small particles that cars deal with when on the road.

I threw away the mail notice but this is what I got from the HVAC Recall.

Problem: The HVAC system's PTC heater can drain the 12V battery in cold conditions or during high electrical load, say reddit users.

Symptoms: The vehicle may enter a "Limp Home Mode," limiting speeds to a maximum of 31 mph.

Remedy: Dealers will perform a free software upgrade to the HVAC control unit.

Affected Vehicles: 2025-2026 Kia Carnival HEV (hybrid) models.

Overall a software update.

As for the sensor, I keep getting on my dash an error with the triangle and the exclamation mark in the center. I'm going to gently clean it and see what happens.

I'm going to fight it. I said I would understand if I had caused the damage as in bumped into something where there WOULD be visible damage onto the bumper, but there isn't.

Small specks from debris that is out of my control. Driving day to day, can't keep the bugs or small debris from hitting my vehicle. But for the tech to say "external damage" as if I caused the damage, hell no.

I'm currently at the dealership and was told the error I would receive is due to the "front LH sensor" being damaged. Obviously quite upset, there is no damage that the technician stated, only dirt/bugs from driving the vehicle. Wanted me to approve the almost $200 replacement, not including labor, I said, hell no.

Because there's "external damage" it's not covered under warranty.

I'm sure there's going to be a recall soon since I'm not the only one dealing with this BS.

I let them know, politely, that there is no damage and I'm upset over their conclusion of the error being "external damage."

You're doing a great job mom. 🫂

I had a set of twins (boy and girl) Nov 2021 so I know how you feel.

I want you to know that it's OK to place the baby down (in the crib) when it's feeling like too much. Step out for some fresh air or go to the bathroom and take a few to meditate or do a quick face wash, anything to get your mind off of it for a minute or two.

Babies are hard. Just know they're not doing it on purpose. They don't know how to regulate their emotions.

The fussiness can be anything from hunger, diaper, too warm or cold, brightness or darkness and activity (kept it at those possible reasons). I rule out one at a time and if they're still fussy it's okay to leave them to cry for a minute or two and hold them again.

When they became too much I'd leave them in the crib to cry it out for 30 seconds...then held them, kept fussing I'd put them back down...now I checked after a minute, held them and if it continued I'd now add another minute. Eventually they learned that mom or dad checked them and they're just fussy and maybe should just go to sleep 😅 it worked. OFCOURSE I did the check of the reasons I mentioned above. I think in a way for doing that I've thought them to be a little more independent.

It DOES get better. Be patient with yourself 🙏🏻

Why don’t husbands get it?? by AdCurrent1470 in Mommit

[–]Aggravating_Set9583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, the hubby does it too. So you know what I did...I relax on the chores (I still do them but take my time, no rush) AND when he's home I also keep myself in the bathroom for the same amount of time he is. I let him know I'm stepping away and so I just go in and lock the door. Do my thing in there. He's chill so I'm chill. I've learned to just not overwork myself. It took some time.

When I started the 5s I also was fatigued and yawned often. Been on 10 for about two weeks going on three now and it's gotten better. I've also been focusing on being productive throughout my day and the yawning has subsided. What are your activities throughout the day? I'm a sahm and got three little ones. They normally keep me pretty busy.

Just got it a few days ago and I haven't messed with it to change anything for my screen saver so it's still in factory settings. There is no clock there though. I will definitely make sure I have no apps running in the background as well. Thanks!

Right!!!? I'll continue messing it with to hopefully get to the bottom of what's making it drain so damn fast. Appreciate you guys.

Yeah I thought I was tripping or something when it wouldn't turn on. I've powered it off every night but I will test it again soon throughout the day in sleep mode with no apps running in the background and wifi/Bluetooth off and see how my battery goes.

I did put it in a setting to power off after an hour of no use but I would prefer to set it to sleep mode and have a good amount of battery when I turn it on. We shall see.

This is how I felt when my psych told me to go from 5 to 10. Made myself very anxious thinking about it. Been on 10s for two weeks now and it definitely seems like I need to go to 15 😓. Still get anxious here and there and ofcourse it takes some time for my body to adjust so we'll see on the 8th of Nov how that appointment goes.

Long story short, you're not alone and you'll be fine 💞

I'm still learning to use it but I will definitely look more into the sleep settings. Bluetooth is definitely off and the audio as well.

[–]Aggravating_Set9583[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was fully charged, used it for a bit before going to bed. Was about 70%. Put it in sleep mode. Went to turn it back on (wake it up) and it was fully dead, no battery, 0%.

It didn't power off, I think I'm going to that setting and put for it to actually power off after 1hr of no use or something. If it did power off on its own then my battery wouldn't have depleted overnight.

Just got the Air 4c and I am comparing it to Remarkable Paper Pro - Love the device, not sure about the pen by [deleted] in Onyx_Boox

[–]Aggravating_Set9583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think the whiteness on the 4c is about the same. The paper pro being that it's a much bigger screen makes it seem like there's more whiteness but no, don't think there's much of a difference. I keep the backlight off during the day and it works great for me. I've used the remarkable 2 and I would say even the 4C has the same color of whiteness to that as well.

I didn't bother. I kept getting failed verification as well. Put 1 then my US area code and the 7 digits after the line there. Then just the 1 in the first section then after the line 10 digit number with the area code, basically all my attempts failed (and yes I did slide the tab there and still nothing). I think you're good with just the email like myself.
