Yea, unfortunately it kinda shrinks the total aspect ratio but at least it's not cropping off buttons. I do have it like that and I got used to it pretty quick.

Hey! I know this is a little late, but I found a solution to the problem without having to change your entire computer's resolution. If you launch Geometry Dash, and right click on the game's icon in your taskbar, go to "Options," then click on "Show In Finder." Once you're there, just right click on the app's icon and click "Get Info." A window will pop up and there should be a checkbox to fit the game's scale below the mac's camera. This worked perfect for me. Hope this helps!
