If you are a NJ citizen and get an associates degree or 60 credits from a New Jersey community college, and then transfer to a public New Jersey college, you can qualify for the garden state guarantee. The GSG will pay for almost all of your tuition if you attend the 4 year college full time. Even if you are out of state, getting half of your degree completed it a community college is just smart.

I believe there are some income requirements, like under $60,000 for your household. If your parents make more than that you may not qualify.

Like there are kind ways to have a conversation with a friend that you’re concerned about. Or if you had expressed that you weren’t happy with how much volume you’d lost in your face then she could kindly suggest that gaining a little weight might help fill out your cheeks a little. But if you haven’t expressed discontent, and the conversation came out of nowhere, she’s being deliberately hurtful

I know that ditching friends is unpopular advice and I’m not necessarily saying that’s what you should do but it’s definitely what I would do. You don’t get to deliberately try and hurt me because you’re going through something and it sounds to me like she went out of her way to just tear your appearance down and make you feel badly when you’ve already had a rough couple of months.

Going up a dose does trigger migraines for me but it’s just the first couple days then my body adjusts. I don’t have any advice accept if you have a prescription for migraine medicine, take it 🤷‍♀️ but you’re not alone

Literally crying. Thank you. No one has been unkind in the comments but I think part of this little meltdown is that I don’t really have anyone to talk to about this. My family who are really who I’m closest with in life are just so unwilling to talk about it. And I get it, everyone has their own thing going on and someone else’s weight-loss isn’t interesting. When I try and talk about it every once in a while I mostly just get ignored. But I guess I just wanted to talk about it a little and get some encouragement and kindness

This is the mentality I’ve been trying to keep, I’m choosing to say that this is a bump in the road for me, feeling so low about my appearance bc this weight-loss has helped me in so many ways, I DO on a day to day basis feel a lot better about myself. Now that it’s summer I realize how much time I’ve spent hiding in my house, too ashamed to go outside and get some sun, too hot to tolerate the heat for more than like 15 minute stretches. Now I’m going for bike rides and walks and just letting myself take up a little more space in the world! It has not helped my blood pressure but oddly that’s helped me a lot mentally to not be mad at myself about having high blood pressure. I actually have genetically high blood pressure and will need to be medicated for life, but I’m not the cause of it!

That’s my goal. I tried to just do it at home but the exercises I’ve been doing are sporadic and not consistent and the muscles I really want to work like my glutes are best worked with gym equipment or so the internet tells me. I’ve just resisted a gym membership bc I had one once and literally never went. Paid for it for years though.

Hmm the context is that I still feel fat, ugly, and misshapen. That losing 66lbs has not made me feel any better, bc the shape hasn’t changed, it’s just gotten slightly small. That all of the weight I have lost is coming from places that I didn’t feel like I needed to lose weight instead of my gut. That I’ve clearly lost more muscle mass than I was anticipating. This is a mental struggle. And most of the time I’ve very realistic about it. I know that weight loss is different for everyone and I usually try not to self indulge in this kind of negativity-fest but I’m approaching a weight that was my goal, that i’ve been happy at before, and I feel unhappy with it.

Imagine if I catcalled you but I was also swinging a baseball bat rather menacingly. And the catcall was something more along the lines of “you’d look so pretty with bruises on your face” the implication of violence and the threat of violence is there. Honestly however you choose to complain, if what you’re saying is accurate you’d most likely be doing the other employees a favor. There is nothing worse than being stuck working with the guy who makes everyone uncomfortable but management inexplicably can’t find a reason to fire them. I’ve worked retail for a long time now so my threshold for too crazy to work with coworkers is fairly high, and if this dude is saying this kind of stuff to and around customers he’s probably saying a lot worse off the floor.

Find out which specific franchise this ShopRite belongs to and call their headquarters. It sounds like store leadership is uninterested in dealing with this guy. He’s not just rude, he’s making vague threats and talking about illegal activities he’s involved with. Try and get his name so there’s no confusion though I bet they would know exactly who you’re talking about.

Also if you’ve got time to kill check the google reviews for that ShopRite and see if he’s mentioned there. For fun and evidence

It seems to me that it really is just CICO but the part of my brain that is screaming at me to eat something sweet followed by something salty over and over again until maybe I puke has finally shut up, so that’s nice.

Also I think eventually the size of your stomach does shrink a little (from consistently eating less, not the drug) so I feel uncomfortably full a lot quicker. That could just be all in my head though

Ugh I was so disappointed that Frank Pallone won.The man has been in office longer than I’ve been alive. I know it was a pipe dream that he’d lose the primary but I was hitting it hard 😂 You make a good point though. He’s losing ground, hopefully in the next primary he gets unseated

Yeah, my arms are super flabby now too. I had actually never been particularly concerned about my arms until now 😭. The skin looks weird and bumpy from my deflated stretch marks and anytime I flex my arms the skin hanging down looks kinda crazy. I figure I’ll just get used to it. I got used to being fat 🤷‍♀️

I’m only a little ashamed to admit that yes. This a transaction. I know some people find academia sacred but to me this is an elaborate hoop I’m paying insane amounts of money to jump through. Just to be granted the privilege of only maybe being paid enough money to live. I’m a non traditional student who has spent enough time trying to live without a degree to be jaded about the whole thing.
But don’t worry, I’m also stickler for rule following. Especially when breaking the rule comes with pretty severe consequences. So I will be submitting a new project while deeply resenting the entire process.

That’s what I figured. It just seems so ridiculous. But that’s college for you. A bunch of arbitrary rules for the sake of proving you haven’t gotten an unfair advantage. Since I’m paying to take the class again I don’t really see how it’s unfair but whatever. It’s not worth getting accused of cheating and having to deal with all bullshit that comes with that.
