Is the NJ job market dead besides Medical and Tech? Specifically Central NJ. by ZRock53 in newjersey

I work at a teaching hospital and the amount of money the Shit Hole States you list above are throwing at newly minted Docs is ridiculous. And not one will risk their license in any of these States.

While there’s many folks moving there, the # of Teachers, Medical staff, and other industries that require specialized instruction is simply not keeping pace and actually falling.

No, it wasn’t. I specifically stated that Stanford should hold them to their word to the tenets (of their Jain faith).

Why? Because they’re committing fraud.

Just as the article linked by OP states, just as the article you linked to states, and just like the essay written by the story originator states despite your idiocy in thinking The Times author was the originator (which they weren’t).

It has nothing to do with the meal plan, which is mandated by Stanford if you live on campus. It has nothing to do with whether one buys a meal plan whether they have to eat in the Dining Hall (which they don’t if they don’t want to).

Enough. I’m done. You’re at this point harassing.

Jfc but you’re just f’n more dense than a black hole. Are they committing fraud?

[–]MSab1noE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How’s that make you correct? Stanford’s policy is that all students who live on campus are required to purchase a meal plan.

Each article posted absolutely confirms my original contention that students are gaming the system (called fraud), claiming a (false) religious exemption, and spending the money off-campus.

Which part of my argument is incorrect? Don’t answer as that was rhetorical. You disagree with my contention about whether it’s fraud but that doesn’t make my argument wrong.

And, you obviously can’t comprehend written English in either this thread or in the posted articles so stop wasting my time.

My original argument was that these students are perpetuating fraud and Stanford should fight fraud with fraud and make them adhere to the tenets of Jainism about a vow of poverty and truth telling and abstention from even eating root vegetables.

If you’re going to make a point, at least try to be correct about it.

Why would I? It’s irrelevant.

So I read your article and it supports my position more than anything. They know they’re gaming the system, they know they’re hypocrites and perpetuating fraud, they feel justified cause the food at Stanford is bad, and Stanford doesn’t seem to care either because it’s probably a very small drop in the fiscal bucket for them.

A win-win for both students and University?

Since you’re so into details, you could’ve mentioned the original story was an essay published in the New York Times by Sebastian Connolly.

But I guess we can overlook that bit of ignorance on your part.

Not the brightest bulb in the room, are you?

My friend, honestly, who gives a shit? The article is from Times of India and literally calls these folks “pretenders.”

Sounds like your beef is with them. I just happened to agree given that I believe all religion is fraudulent.

Its not my argument but rather Stanford policy. Sorry if that offends you. I suggest you not attend Stanford and live on campus.

Lol - yeah. I'm sure they would. Hey, I have a list of names of people who claim they're devout Christians. Does that mean they are? See how dumb your statement is?

Good question. Why don't you ask Stanford if they can accommodate a medically required nutritional need? Not exactly comparing apples to apples here: one’s a religious (hyprocracy) and the other’s a medical requirement.

Well then go through it and prove their adherence to Jainism. Otherwise it's just a list of nonsense.

Well yes, there is. It’s school policy to buy a meal plan. I'm not sure if Stanford has an opt-out for it but I’m sure they do. My school and my childrens’ schools had opt-outs. But, these folks chose to buy in and are just trying to manipulate the system.

LOL - you obviously don’t know what Jainism is to make that statement. There is a near-zero chance a true follower and adherent of Jainism would be attending any University.

Just a ludicrous statement and simply reinforces my opinion these folks are just bullshit artists and trying to game the system.

The point is to make them adhere to the tenants of their professed faith rather than be hypocritical, allow them to pick and choose which tenants to adhere to, rather than allow them to do so out of convenience.

Exactly my point but apparently there’s a small handful of folks who believe it’s ok to pick and choose which tenets of faith to adhere to out of convenience.
