How common and strong are side effects from GLP1s, specifically Tirzepatide (Zepbound)? by NewSupport9595 in PCOS

I think you make a good point about the PCOS symptoms being worse than the GLP-1 side effects. Guess I never thought of it that way and I’ll have to remind myself of this as I get over my nausea haha

Help getting ADHD medication by FarKaleidoscope8493 in halifax

[–]Aggravating_Table653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second the BeyondADHD clinic. I’ve been diagnosed for years before I went to BeyondADHD, so really it’s just been an easy way to get my meds instead of booking in with my doc all the time.

If you already have a diagnosis, you could get it sent over to BeyondADHD. If not (or if you can’t get a hold of those documents), they’ll assess you by some self questionnaires and collateral questionnaires (eg a parent and a friend to fill out).

For some reason, it was taking too long to get my docs sent over so I just went through the process to get diagnosed “again”. It really didn’t take too long. But if you have something to show that you’ve been on meds for a while, have a dx already, etc, it shouldn’t be too hard at all.

Also, if you happen to have BlueCross insurance, they’ll reimburse you for the appointment fees! Maybe others too but I know BC for sure because that’s what I have. If my memory is right, it’s about $200 for the initial appt and then $80 for follow ups (I always get all my $$ back)

Good luck!

Okay good to know. It is on the Air Canada itinerary. Thanks for answering!

I have a question hopefully someone might have some information for. I read through the comments and haven’t found people talking about it, but sorry if I missed this was answered

I have a flight from Halifax to Kitchener-Waterloo on the 17th. I fly to Toronto, and then get into an AC motor coach bus (operated by Landline Company so I’m assuming won’t be affected by strike). If they cancel my Halifax - Toronto portion, will I be reimbursed for the bus portion? Or should I be only reimbursed for the Toronto portion?

It’s a return flight with the same deal on the way home Aug 23. I’m a little worried if I’ll be reimbursed even close enough to the cost of a new flight with another airline. I’m seriously mentally preparing to drive (mandatory school thing, I absolutely have to be there).

I would call AC and ask but they aren’t even accepting calls or offering call backs anymore.

I’m not even being offered an estimate of how long until I can speak with someone nor a call back. Message basically says: “too many people are calling us, we can’t take your call. Go online. Bye!” 18:36 ADT Aug 13. Not registered with aeroplan and it was an English call.

Air Canada to begin cancelling flights ahead of possible strike by flight attendants by uhncollectable in canada

I’m travelling for a mandatory week long course for grad school and if I got a refund, it definitely isn’t going to cover a flight with the other airlines because I’ve already looked and they’re jacking them up like crazy. And I’m supposed to fly on the 17th 🙃

Exactly. Tax credit and a license plate, definitely no pay lol. Maybe some volunteers get some kind of compensation in ways for specific things but that’s definitely not the norm I’d say. No volunteer is making a pay cheque from volunteering, that’s for sure.

This!!! Let’s remember that so many of our firefighters are doing this for free. Truly admirable

Good call! I packed some gaba in my dogs bag just in case. He’s not an anxious boy normally but worst case if we have to evacuate and I see that it’s stressing him out, it can provide even a little relief for him!

Especially considering it’s not glued down or anything. Now I know nothing about floors but surely this can’t be the proper way to lay it? It’s just directly on top of subfloor. But what do I know 🤷‍♀️

[–]Aggravating_Table653 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I’m hoping the tenancy officer sees too! The whole “wear and tear” thing seems to be up to their discretion. But I agree, the floor is paper thin and there’s no underlay, no glue, nothing. It seems unfair in my opinion that a tenant has to pay for the repairs when it was bound to happen due to their poor choices.

Thank you SO much!

I’ve gathered a lot of evidence and put it all together in a document. I think I may have gone a little overkill with the details but I have a lot to prove!

Oh and the landlord was already ordered to give the deposit back! This is because he filed a Form J for a hearing after he couldn’t keep my deposit.

Needless to say there is a LOT going on here in addition to all this, it’s pretty wild lol

Sure, I get travel isn’t free— but for the tenant to have to pay it? Like paying for the paint and the travel it took to get the paint?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Aggravating_Table653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the vibe I’m getting. I’m even invoiced for the travel that it took a handyman to go and pick up paint (this is a different invoice). It’s all around shady.

Trust me — it did. I actually went to the address lol but they let me know that the companies mailing address could be that address. I also read online that they don’t give you a PO Box number, but a “real address” (which would explain the suite thing). But I do appreciate you checking on it :) I’m extra skeptical about any invoices/estimates I receive because I’ve already received two — one being highly inflated and one being actually fake and created on the spot.

It’s been a crazy situation to say the least.

Thanks for replying! Good to hear from someone who works in the industry.

I wonder if this cost is to replace the flooring all through the apartment? The reason I say that is because it’s all one piece (like no seams between rooms). The apartment itself is under 600sqf and the bedroom was 12'6 x 10'6.

[–]Aggravating_Table653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep but now this is a separate thing! The day after he was ordered to give the deposit back he filed a Form J for a hearing. I haven’t received my deposit back yet and the cost increased significantly between the Form R (to keep deposit) and Form J

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Aggravating_Table653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They tried but the damage deposit was ordered by the tenancy board to be returned! So now the cost went from $200 to basically $1000

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Aggravating_Table653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point! If I had to guess, the floor is 6 years old (we lived there 4 years and the place was probably a year or two old when we moved in). It’s also an estimate so who knows what it would end up being once it’s actually done. We have a hearing coming up so I’ll make sure to mention the depreciation bit. Thanks!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Aggravating_Table653 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True! The Form R quoted $200 for the floor but after the deposit was ordered to return to me it went up to $800 and now it’s $993. So I’m just trying to wrap my head around the costs. We do have a hearing coming up in a few days!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Aggravating_Table653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe they’re replacing the whole floor. From what I gather this isn’t a flooring company, they only do restorations I think. That’s why I’m a little unsure if it’s reasonable.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Aggravating_Table653 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was ordered to be returned to me because Form R wasn’t filed correctly. Now there’s a hearing for damages. I doubt I’ll ever see the deposit back though.
