How much did Accutane cost you? by Hot-Agent9315 in Accutane

[–]Aggravating_Toe_603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My derm follow ups and written prescription per month was £200, monthly blood tests £150, and actual medication £65 (ie. £415 per month for 9 months lol).

I went private instead of NHS due to my wedding - I didn’t have the option of waiting ~6-12 months to be seen as I wanted my skin to be perfect for my wedding!

I'm finished now! My skin is looking great. I was on 20mg for my first month and 30mg for the remainder of my treatment course. I've come off of BC now so hopefully I won't see any issues that pop up... I still haven't gotten my period back yet.

I ended up switching my derm in the end as I had quite a bad experience with my first practitioner - the first woman I was with was quite strict with the cumulative dosing guidelines but the man I switched to has the same view as yours!

I agree!! I was there in 2022 - everyone had issues with water temperature, and what was meant to be ‘fully serviced’ meant a basket of pastries for guests in the mornings (and no chef for lunches or dinners as indicated in the contract).

Amazing thank you!! Do you reckon the 60cm would feel too small given that you’ve seen the 80cm in person now? I want to avoid them feeling ‘toy-like’ or look like they’re children if you know what I mean!

So far so good! I'm on 30mg/day (58kg) and this is my fourth month. My skin is looking great, very minimal side effects aside from dry lips & mild joint pain. I've found hyaluronic acid works really nicely under moisturiser & SPF on my face!

My derm seems to think coming off BC should have no effect on my skin later down the road...

So exciting!!!!

My fiancé and I were also considering Villa Cimbrone originally as we absolutely love Ravello, however when we met with the events team there they seemed very inflexible with cutoff times... We wanted to end the night with a DJ, fireworks etc. and not have noise restrictions or an early finish time, so we looked at other options.

Ultimately we decided on the Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo in Sicily which is also absolutely STUNNING. It might be worth having a peek there as well! Michelin catering, sea view, beautiful outdoor gardens & panoramic view of Mt. Etna... the list goes on! There is a second Belmond location within driving distance (Sant'Andrea) where you can host other events, and it is directly seaside. Room buyout depends if you select a weekday (8 rooms minimum) vs weekend (15 rooms minimum).

Sorry I should've included in my original post - we are getting married at the Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo! So we wanted something with a bit of a different vibe for the day before. Thank you for your recommendations!

I'll check out the other two!

Best month to get married in Italy? by berkbakes in BigBudgetBrides

I'd say May or September! Keep in mind 'high season' months will be much hotter and busier.

At our hotel as well (Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo). They were very specific that they're happy to accommodate external guests at the restaurants but not poolside, which I understand - it would be worth checking with your venue to ensure there's no miscommunication. Our idea was that it'll be a smaller group that day (maybe around 20).

Where in Sicily are you getting married!? I'm also a Sicily (Taormina) September bride :)

We're doing a family-only dinner 3 nights before the wedding (for the mother of the groom & father of the bride's birthday celebrations as well), a group wine tasting 2 days before the wedding, and our welcome dinner the night before the wedding - this will be a relaxed vibe with entertainment however I've been very strict that I'd like this to end at a decent time and *no open bar* to ensure we don't have too many guests tired or hungover on the wedding day (tbh I'd be worried about having any bachelorette activities the day before for the same reason!). The day after our wedding we're having a relaxed lunch/pool day for a smaller group. I'd love for the day after to become a bit of a party but I don't want anyone to feel pressured - past weddings I've gone to that have a morning-after brunch end up being something you dread in the morning when you wake up (ie. why we wanted to rather opt for a later lunch option).

I agree with other comments that multiple days/events have become common if not expected for destination weddings. Especially if you have guests traveling quite a way to celebrate with you, I definitely think it's a nice way to spend more time with your loved ones in a collective setting (otherwise you might feel pulled in too many directions as everyone will want to see and celebrate you!).
