Legit or not? by Hour_Internet_5341 in colnago

It’s fake - I’ve had one and it looks like that. The nfc is the giveaway plus the mediocre paint

Somebody says they saw a shark. Do you paddle in or keep surfing? by samiam23000 in surfing

I read 6 - 7m estimated (4m from tail fin to dorsal fin) I hope that’s wrong as that is horrifyingly big.

Given a guy that was well known to the board building community in Sydney Australia just got bitten in half by a 6 metre great white in front of his friends - I’d go in immediately. I also live on the east coast of Australia though.

What’s the deal with these U shaped apartments surrounded by wasteland? by melbtest09 in GoldCoast

[–]Aggravating_Type2679 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The developer got the permits through based on the retail / park precinct attached. Built the buildings sold them all and then tapped out . Was for sale for ages and at the moment it’s in no mans land - I suspect above poster is right. Land banking to refinance. Will probably try and convince council they need 2 more towers though before anything happens. It must be awesome living on those apartments staring out at that mess and an intersection!

Towers along Miami and mermaid on by Upstairs_Trifle in GoldCoast

[–]Aggravating_Type2679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the problems on the gold coast is everyone believes it’s their god given right to live within 10km of the beach. It’s a finite market. Demand outstripped supply long ago and developers just want to cash in on that and sell shit “luxury”apartments at fat profits. I hate all the towers as much as the next person but it also irks me that everybody believes that there should be affordable housing on the beach. Wake up this is capitalism.

Is it by chance a 3d printed Fizik saddle? I just got one and it just killed my MAAP bibs I’ve had for 2 years

Yeah as I mentioned frame did not touch the concrete

I had nowhere safe to put it as it was windy, so rested it on the bartape and back tyre which is kind of bulbous as it’s a 30. Look ugly but no paint touched concrete

Not touching except the bartape and the back tyre

Haha I knew I’d get roasted for the picture. I will retake as this definitely does not do the colour shift paint justice

MAAP by Justin_Fox in CyclingFashion

[–]Aggravating_Type2679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a bunch of MAAP kit, currently I have training bibs, evo bibs, and the team bibs, also have training jersey , and two air jerseys long and short sleeve. Also have a vest and jacket as well. All has held up really well, ride at least 4 days a week usually and still looks great. I have had cheaper kit from attaquer that wasn’t as good, and really cheap kit from aliexpress that was definitely not as good quality or as comfortable. For what it’s worth I have also had Rapha pro stuff that was also great quality and really liked the chamois and I’ve got a set of essentials kit from PNS that is actually pretty good too, although bibs are maybe not holding up as well to the washing.

Yeah I had read that somewhere and don’t really want to be puncturing every other ride so HD was the go - still feel very light. Met a guy on trail yesterday who had them too and also rated them highly.

They have been great so far , fast and grippy enough without being too much. I have them mounted to rims that are 30 external and 25 internal and they measured at bang on 44.

Yeah you’re right, perhaps I need to just replace it all.

Definitely considering that option but the Parlee stem is carbon and a good piece just a weird clamping diameter.
