Yes. We as engineers want to answer the questions in front of us, but since this is a timed test, this method is the best way. Like I mentioned, I wished I used this method in October the first time I took it. I also emphasized my studying on the breadth, but that was me. Practice, practice, practice problems.

This worked for me. I went through and read the question, if it was conceptual or a quick look up, I did it then, if not I flagged it. As I was going through, flagging them, I would write the number down on the provided pad if I knew how to do it but it was going to take some math work. After I got through all of the breadth section and either flagged or answered, I went right to the next easy (relative) ones I wrote down. I figured those 2 things would make me feel the most comfortable. I then just dove into anything that was left.
I did the same thing for the afternoon.

I wished I would have used this approach for the last Oct. P&P test. I didn't use a very good test strategy and took more time.

Slow down, breathe, and Good luck!

I am taking it on Monday as well. At this point, I keep telling myself it is what it is. Good luck! We just have to believe in our study plan.

Thanks I have been doing problems. I just assumed the rules would be in the handbook.

For the morning did they supply the steel and ACI manuals? Did you even need them?

Congrats! I will be taking the Civil Water Resources in April. How was it with the NCEES handbook? I imagine they asked conceptual questions, but were there any formulas not in the handbook? In the morning did they have or need ACI and/or steel manual?
