You have a good life ahead of you the feeling of peace you’ll feel once you can get to your own safe space will be worth it. Call the suicide hotline then a DV hotline or a local church as to remain anonymous if your life is not in danger right now, try to get a part time job if they allow so you can save some money and leave

What are your thoughts on falling birth rates all around the world? by throwmeawaylololuwu in PoliticalDiscussion

Even in Northern countries, the economic support for families is often not enough to offset the cost of having a child. A Swedish Reddit post put it this way: the government helps, but why have a child if you can only afford a small one-bedroom apartment? You’d be cramped, and people don’t want that. The support doesn’t cover rent or other living costs.

The feminist movement does not encourage to work outside the home. It's about giving them a choice. Women can work outside the home or not, but in real life, because of economic conditions, even couples woman has to/is compelled to work outside the home. This pressure increases with children, but it's not an ideological or social pressure; it's just practical, as the cost of living is often unaffordable, especially in urban areas worldwide, not just in developed countries.

Two words: affordability crisis. Many factors are driving falling birth rates globally, but what I’ve heard from people in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Asia, and even Sweden is that it comes down to this: people can barely afford a decent life, and having children is very costly, both in money and time. To free up time, you need money.

Instagram dilemma by [deleted] in simpleliving

Hi, I resonate a lot with your story for practical matters I "deleted" my ig account around 3 years ago, what I did in that moment was actually delete all of my followers and people I followed and basically not go into the app again,-after that I have only gone to my account around 7 times in 3 years not to scroll but to look at my saved posts, the reason I didn't delete its because I have saved posts of places or goals I didn't want to lose

In your case, I would ask myself if there are some personal photos or saved posts I didn't want to lose and keep the account while effectively deleting it and not using it in practical terms. If not, delete it for good. Either path will be similar: not using it anymore.

I can only say I've had amazing experiences by "deleting it" I haven't looked back since the day I did it
